My latest Edwardian white dress, recently restyled.
This costume has a long story: I started it last year but I didn't finish it properly since it had several fitting issues (too long arms, too big skirt and so on) and I injured a finger in the making (be aware of sharp scissors, kids!). So I worked on it again after a long moment of pause: I pleated the skirt again to match the waistband, I sewn proper undergarments (chemise, petticoat and corset) and I changed the yoke from chiffon to cotton. I added a gathered strip of lace on the neckline and added fabric buttons on the back to close the blouse. A success!

I did the hat as well, covering a thrift sun hat with the same fabrics of the dress. The sash is made of burgundy velvet while the shawl is a Christmas gift made of sillk and Alpaca wool.

The photo has not been retouched in any way except for the lights: the body-shape you see it's the true shape given by the corset.
