This is a more realistic take on how Erik would have looked (there's no biological way his eyes could be burning coals) but his human eyes made larger and more expressive in response to the rest of his body just makes the sins committed against him by others more horrific. How can you look upon human eyes with an obvious soul behind them, feeling pain an loneliness and treat them so monstrously and not be the monster yourself?

Yes!!! exactly!! I feel so much pain for him when I read Leroux or Susan Kay's version and more than anything it is so important to realize he is still human! If I let myself get started on a rant I could be typing all night! haha

Personally, let my both congratulate and thank you for such an original design for the phantom. I love your unique take on his deformity. I loved the way his face has sunken in, yet he still is recognizable human. An amazing job!
