Description Edit Fixed a few things that were bugging me about this one, mostly her proportions! Thank you for all the critique I received.

The Little Mermaid is without a doubt my favorite Disney movie

This is my first picture painted on my brand new COMPUTER plus my new Photoshop Elements 8.0!!! Definitely beats 3.0 that I was using before! I love love love my new computer and new photoshop ahhh It's so good to be drawing again!

I don't really know why. I think growing up colored I was always drawn to the ethnic princesses

That makes sense. My favorite princesses other than Ariel are all ethnic (Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan) I'm white though sooo haha idk!

I envy your coloring skills. Gah, you're just so fantastic. Her face looks exquisite!!

Her hands look a bit awkward; I think that it'd be more natural to have her wrists bent a little less. I tried doing the same pose with my arms and I almost have to force my hands to be in the same position.
