Yes, it has not been a 'tool' for quite a while...or should I say, tool of a different nature. Now old 'Mr Bradley' just attracts attention...ha ha....

I've seen this relic before. It was on 'It's a Burl" 's web site. Looks like the product of drunken driving. How are you my friend

Yeah, that truck 'pops up' in the websites every now and then. I'm doing fine, Brother. Enjoying a couple days of actual sunshine....no torrential rains, blizzards, or winds. It's interesting how the sun coming out changes everyone's spirit. It's been a really long winter.

I miss that desert a lot, my Friend and I would have been most happy to be there this last winter especially. Used to spend about three months there every year. The Sonora Desert is one of my favorite places to be.

I spent one summer in Quartzsite. It reached 130 degrees.Β That one summer was enough for me...

There are miners that live in little camp trailers with no power all year long at their mining claims. I don't know how people do it. During the summer there are only about 1500 people in Quartszite. At least that's what it used to be. It's been a long time; but, I doubt that aspect has changed much. During the season dec through jan, there were as many as 2,000,000 people there. One of the cheapest places in the US to live...and you had Mexico as well. I think things have changed as far as the border towns go though. I understand one has to have a passport just to go to the doctor or dentist now.

there's a little town across the border by Yuma called Algodones, where Americans go for dentists & prescriptions.Β A guy told me it took him 2 hrs 45 min. to walk back across the border when he was done!
Β And what I didn't get about Quartzsite was all the RVs in rows, practically on top of each other, yet you drive 2 mi. south on Hwy. 95 & you have the whole desert to yourself!

Algodones is where my dentist was. Blanka Terron was her name. That was close to twenty years ago though.
Yeah, when we were at Quartzsite, we stayed out in the desert in an area called La Paz Valley about 8 miles outside of Quartzsite. The desert out there is beautiful. We've seen some amazing things out there.
It was interesting to see people in Quartzsite, in the parks, and markets living so close together. That place is a phenomenon.
