Description Don't know what it was, don't know where it went...

btw. please tell me if the photo is too dark to you... on one comp it seems ok to me, but a bit dark on the other one, so I don't know what kind of settings people generally use (I'm used to having pretty high contrast and low brightness)

I really like the way the little footsteps lead your eye, like we're trying to follow it. And I think the lighting works really well for this image.

I think the darkness suits it just fine. The soft shades fade nicely into the shadows and the fact that everything seems so smooth makes those prints really come out.
Considering though, they have the same bumpy texture just on a smaller scale which makes it seem like the bigger mounds could be prints as well, like a picture within a picture within a...you get the idea.

Don't change it, this photo is fabulous.

It looks like a fox (no, not hurt), just ambling along.

Excellent depth of field and lighting!

Fox you say?

Aedan In reply to DanielZrno [2005-07-16 22:51:58 +0000 UTC]

Yes I thought it might be a rabbit but there's no evidence of the hind legs or hopping. They appear almost cat like and don't drag regularly.

I uh, spend many weekends up north, lol, most of my childhood was spent playing in the woods. ^^

DanielZrno In reply to Aedan [2005-07-16 22:59:49 +0000 UTC]

Foxes leave irregular tracks? Didn't know that... so best bet now is that it was a fox (and there are foxes where this was taken, I think)

You're lucky! Wish I had spent more time in the nature...

Aedan In reply to DanielZrno [2005-07-16 23:44:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh I mean they're very delicate on their feet. One might mistake them for cat prints, lol. That one wasn't in a hurry, looking at how solid the prints are and how a paw swipes the snow sometimes, and how the pairs are close together. Probably sniffing around?

I'm a dork.
