There is some very lovely architecture in Japan. I got to see Tokyo for five days. We split it up two in the beginning and the at the end. In between we visited Osaka, Nagoya, Hakone, and Kyoto. Very fun but tiring.

For me, one of the highlights was visiting the imperial gardens in Tokyo.

Oh, I think we missed that. Somehow I think we never saw one of the grand gardens only small ones.


I imagine they are lovely. Now I feel silly missing one.

They were quite nice, yes.

Heh heh. I kind of terrified the tour guide by pointing out the gardens had a lot of hammock spiders.
Perfectly harmless to humans, they spin horizontal webs instead of vertical ones. She hadn't spotted them, but when I pointed out the webs she sort of yelped and went to walk in the middle of the path.

Well, I only had a guide for the garden tour. The gardens are attached to the imperial palace, so I can understand they'd want some oversight there.
