It takes me four or five days on weekdays, when I go to school and make homework and stuff.
He's about 15 cm tall (if I remember correctly, that's 5.9 inches).Β

I'm glad you put centimeters before inches, you spared me the effort of making the conversion (or trying to ^^). 15cm is big and small (and thus more difficult to add the dΓ©tailsΒ )at the same time.

Well, I think this size is kind of perfect. I work better small scale with things as soft as clay. (Hard stone is a different matter XD) Not too small of course, so 15 cm suits me very well. ^^

I tried making a figurine last summer in polymer clay. It'sΒ 11 cm and as I was sculpting it it looked huge (especially when compared to my small hands XD), butΒ I had a really hard time with details, so I second that 15 cm for a bust seems to be the perfect size to work. You also work with hard stone? O.o

Plymer clay is fun, too. My mum bought a lot of it for me and my sister when we were little. For these busts I use pottery clay.
It's been a while since I sculpted because I lack a proper workspace.
