With the blue, white and gold, it mirrors the color scheme of what The Sorceress wears. Could he have switched sides, and is now The Sorcerer of Greyskull?

Skeletor redeeming himself, reunited with his twin brother King Randor, coming back into the family fold, beoming a Master and adding his might to defend Greyskull and Eternia with that of The Sorceress would be an interesting story arc. Perhaps we will never get to the end. Hope to be able to read that chapter one day.

And who shall be the manace? HordaK, maybe? King Hiss? Ummm... maybe Evil-Lyn, who's now the supreme sorceress of snake mountain and seeks revenge on Skeletor for his betrayal. Deffinitely would be an interesting story arc to read!

great work, Skeletor looks so.... Regal really pompous and more in tune with an evil overlord than his classic cartoon look

Yeah, the 80ties weren't known for their cruel/competent villains, violence-vice 2002 were a slightly better year, though Skeletor still lacked a certain edge in my oppinion. Yet his style was more dark and menacing than both of the previous series, too bad they never made a third season

Yeah! I don't know whY they canceled it! That 2002 cartoon was waay better in animation and stories than the original! And the premises for the third season were huge! What a shame! :S

poor reviews and bad ratings I guess, and I totally agree, I would have loved to see Skeletor bring Hordak down, beating He-man to it in the process, and all the lost plot lines. (sigh) who knows they might come up with something new in a few years, hopefully

Don't see why it would have bad reviewa, I think it wqas even better than the original: animation, character design, action...
Well, let's hope cartoon networ give it another shot since they're reviving the Thundercats next year!

TzaoTao In reply to danitoons [2011-01-10 17:11:49 +0000 UTC]
but I think they should stop at that point less they wan't the whole revival idea to get cliche too soon

danitoons In reply to TzaoTao [2011-01-11 01:58:06 +0000 UTC]
Well, it kinda is already, isn't it? with all their 80s cartoons revivals and nostalgia stunts!

TzaoTao In reply to danitoons [2011-01-13 00:04:16 +0000 UTC]
hmmm, then it's already to late to stop, well, bring on the incompetent and harmless villains, the heroic and flawless heroes and their retinues of cluesless bystanders, who can't get themselves to safety...... Pardon my sarcasm but But I think this is bloody awful!!!

danitoons In reply to TzaoTao [2011-01-14 16:23:16 +0000 UTC]
Haha! Don't worry, I totally get you! Although with the current trend of making everything "grityW and "dark" maybe those villains can be brought back with a little edge to themselves, asdoes the heroes. meehh!.. Who knows!

TzaoTao In reply to danitoons [2011-01-18 09:52:46 +0000 UTC]
hmmm, I like dark and gritty, it's what gave us Wolverine and his chums, and Spider-man and so forth, plus it gives us a nice break from the traditional perfect superhero and his jolly crew of pure hearted ΓΌbermensch

glad to hear it, it's funny that the DnD caertoon with Venger was one of the things that started the trend I think, or at least a foreshadowing of what was to come

REally? Well, that villan was actually quite scary and certanly not a whiner like the other used to be! Well, I think Mum-ra was the other that reivindicated the vilains in cartoons, if my memory doesn't fail
π: 0 β©: 1
TzaoTao In reply to danitoons [2011-01-22 09:35:55 +0000 UTC]
well I really wouldn't mind seeing that one come back i gotta admit, or at least having it's last episode produced would be nice, and Mum-ra was indeed scary, yet a bit flamboyant in my opinion, sure it adds to the level of "evil" but can't take a villain serious if his bedroom is big enough for the whole building/pyramid, but that's my feel about it, or it's just the fact that he had to carry his own symbol around on his chest that puts me off
π: 0 β©: 1
danitoons In reply to TzaoTao [2011-01-25 13:22:14 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it's kinda odd, isn't it? but at least is an actual symbol, unlike the other heroes/villans that carry around their names's letter! How lame is that?

I know, it looks horrible, wear a uniform for gods sakes, more scary, more diciplined and works wonders for the country(which you are about to take over)'s economy, plus added group feeling when unity, never to be underestimated, I can recomend some WW2 replica's from germany, nothing says evil like a classic reference

TzaoTao In reply to danitoons [2011-02-06 20:43:59 +0000 UTC]
hmm, yeah, good ol' black and red works like a charm, if grey go ashen grey, gives that nice ruin and death gefΓΌhl, Wonder if any other colours would do the same? aside from that, a uniform that adds bulk, spikes and a scruffy neck kinda does the trick as well, a long trench coat can work aswell almost regardless of colour (orange or mint-green... can't see it working)

I got a tough time taking a dragonball villain seriously when they all(-red ribbon army) eventually join the good guys, half of 'em are former adversaries, even Krillin or Kuririn started out as a nasty rival of sorts(though I admit to bowing before Piccolo's awesomeness any day of the week)
but anything that spells savagery and rndom destruction works for a villain, a nice tribal tattoo does wonders if placed correctly or is big enough

TzaoTao In reply to danitoons [2011-05-06 13:47:17 +0000 UTC]
haha, as a contradiction: that's why "suits" make for such great villains, they're dressed for niceness, but only works as leaders not grunts, too classy for that, we all love the lowly guys, whom seem lesser than the pretty gent's at the office, in roles that typefy them as a dependent workforce for the dirty stuff. give them some meat cleavers and cudgels and we know what we got!
come to think of it: armaments are so wretchedly important it burns, give a grunt a sword and you know he's gonna be important somehow, a staff also gives of the vibe of importance where a spear doesn't
IDEA: A great villain in a horror movie would be the retired tweed-wearing neighbour that goes all bonkers once every few years with a chainsaw and a very powerful 4-by-4 truck!

I see what you mean, infact next time you walk into a bank or an office building, take a look around.... all those hapless pencil pushers, long hours, minimumwage, cruel corrupt boss with the madeningly sexy secretary..... every single one might be a raving loΓ³n, just waiting for the others to snap and then go on a ravenous killing spree! starting with said boss, secretary and assorted people in a winecellar (Yes I play alot with the stereotypes, but it sorta works(and yes, I did just copywrite an Angel episode there))
must admit though... havn't seen much Dexter, only read about it, havn't got the channel that airs that show
