After I posted a pencil sketch the other day, I was pleasantly surprised it got so much attention considering I'd put it in my scraps folder and it was only meant to be used as an example.

Honestly, I liked the OC I'd created but I hadn't thought much of a background or even a name at the time... so I decided to go ahead and fix that today. This is my first finished picture of my YGO OC, Kiya. I did a bit of researching and settled with the name Kiya... which I pronounce as "Kai-ya", but google translate has something completely different that I know I'll never be able to pronounce (if it's even correct) - lol

Looks like someone or something has gotten on her bad side. This really just drew itself, I know it's not perfect, but I wasn't really going for trying to get every little thing in place, I just wanted to bring her to life in color.

I hope you all enjoy my newest OC, Kiya

Hey again girl! Moving on to this piece, it's always a pleasure seeing you depict Yu-Gi-Oh art in your own way, so I have to say that I was rather interested in this piece since the moment you posted it! I'm glad to hear that you were inspired enough to further this design, given the interest in the sketch version of the image. It's definitely eye-catching, and true to it's origin with things such as the Egyptian jewelry, and the prominent bangs. I also really like her golden eye, and the use of white or grey within her locks. The white especially makes me think of all kinds of story possibilities, as I remember mentioning to you, such as maybe being a part of the doomed village of Kul Elna like Bakura, and my Djal for instnace. I like the use of golden tints in the background, which really seems to amplify the golden colors on your figure. I also like the small touches, such as the scars, and the Egyptian looking eyeliner that the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh would use for the Egyptian characters, and that I would use myself for Teana and Ruia.  Nice work, my friend! Definitely keep it up!

Hmm, I'm not entirely sure, as it was my friend 's original character, but going by the hair color, I'm guessing she could have been part of Bakura's village of Kul Elna.
