Wow... two afternoons... about 5 hours ... man, I need a vacation
Nah, I'm really liking how this is turning out. I do plan on adding shadows and highlights, but for now I'm gonna keep it like this and take a break. So, for those of you who've been waiting to see this colored, at least you have a visual. The next couple of weekends I'll be out of town so this new art frenzy I've been on lately will probably simmer down... but enough about that!This was done in photoshop. I have the black and white in my gallery (first pic I believe) for anyone interested in seein' the b/w... Um, there really isn't too much else to say. The characters are from the video games Lunar the Silver Star Story and Lunar Eternal Blue Complete... I'd tell ya the names... but I'm much too tired
heheFor now I'll be changin' my featured deviation to this one cuz... well, it's colored and everyone likes color best right? ;D

"You've got more rolls than a bakers dozen!" That line just seemed so random when it came up but I laughed so intensely that it hit my future 90 year-old-self and knocked out his/my dentures. The game had so many humorous moments in it and I really wish I could play it again.

Unfortunately this was pre-Dragon Song. I've thought of doing a group pic of just the Dragon Song characters. Despite the game being pretty terrible, the character designs were one of the positive aspects of it for sure! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I really feel old when nobody remembers that lunar actually came out on the gameboy advance. I played it then and absolutly loved it.

I feel old when nobody remembers that Lunar was originally a Sega CD game, way back in the early 90's. I still own that disk, though it doesn't work anymore.

Oh, Lunar Harmony of the Silver Star. It's another remake of Lunar the Silver Star, BUT this time there is a brand new story element about the 4 heroes. It's coming out for the PSP but the release date seems to be different depending on the source. I can tell you from personally playing the game it is BEAUTIFUL. The graphics are great for a hand held. Rumor has it that if this game does well there may be a remake of Eternal Blue (finally) and then a brand new Lunar game but on a console!

FINALLY!!! I got so mad at the end of Eternal Blue. Not because of the ending... that was fantastic... No I'm talking about how Hiro and Lucia unlock the blue star and it being earth is wayyyyyyyyy bigger. WHICH MEANS THEY COULD HAVE MADE ANOTHER GAME EASILY!!!! seriously the blue star is like four times the size of Lunar and the follow up game could be based there after it is inhabited once more. In consistency you could have started off with a baby blue Dragon like Nall and Ruby.
Also wouldn't mind seeing Ruby in her human form either.
Sorry I'm ranting, I don't get to talk to people about this stuff very often.

Human Ruby would be really awesome. I wonder if they would make her look like the human sketches in the artbook... I kinda hope they make her look older though. At LEAST as mature as the "teen" Nall.

Yeah Dragon Song was a BIG let down, not that bad of a time passer but I don't consider it part of the lunar series anymore than the remake of the first one for advanced where they give kyle BOXING GLOVES for a weapon..... mmmmyeah.
I want them to make 2 more games just to finish off the baby dragon series concept. Lunar 3 = Baby blue dragon, Lunar 4 = Baby Black Dragon. Good stuff in conceptual thinking. I would like to read your fic if you have it posted somewhere. I don't really like Lunar fics usually because some of them are just blah. I like exploring different outcomes with character romances too. For instance: Love the Alex and Lunar pairing.... obviously..... it's perfect. However, there are things throughout the game that make me realize different possibilities. Nash and Mia's romance always feels really really shaky at best, and with the similarity in Alex and Mia's moods I can see them being a possible romance... and think of the offspring from that. Or if Alex had decided that perhaps he wanted to study magic at Vane for a year or so in hopes that it would bring him closer to his goal of becoming a dragon master. I mean there are so many things really. Now I never played the lunars for sega (unfortunately) so I think some things could be based off that.
Ruby's form is up for debate but they probably will make her older... they would half to.
