It's kind of complicated but he basically gradually morphs into a superhuman with prescient vision because he 1) ingests large quantities of a special substance called spice and 2) is the product of a millennia old breeding program to produce the chosen one who will change the course of history for the known universe

Haha yeah it's true -some of the characters have common name like Paul, Jessica and Duncan while others have names like Thufir, Feyd-Rautha and Stilgar XD Paul eventually goes by the names Usul (used by his family) and Muad'dib (used by everyone else) so he gets his pick of names by the end I guess haha
