A lot of Stephen King's movies had little effect on me because of bad production back in the 1980s. I think the only one that bothered me was The Shining, though Cujo came in second. That was until It ... and I still haven't seen all of that movie. Oh, I have read the book a number of times back then. Thank a girlfriend who got me into the love of good thrillers and chillers.
