Description Quick sketch I did of S. aegyptiacus, representing the new findings of Ibrahim et. al. Still keeping a healthy amount of skepticism as to whether or not the proportions are correct, or if this isn't in fact an entirely new species of Spinosaurus.
But I couldn't deny the fact that the new interpretation of the anatomy is intriguing aesthetically and scientifically, challenging our concepts of just how specially evolved certain species were to specific environments.

Edit: adjusted proportions; spine was too small, leg too long, etc.

I think Spinosaurus did have longer legs than what Ibrahim states. I agree it was the first swimming dinosaur, but I also believe that it wasn't just a mere, harmless fish eater. Here is one piece of evidence to further explain its diet.

I don't know if it's the first swimming dinosaur, but certainly the first dinosaur with significantly compelling evidence to support swimming as an evolved lifestyle. And I'm sure it didn't subsist entirely on fish, but ate many river-dwelling animals, and even other dinosaurs and pterosaurs.

It still would mostly been active in the water.

Of that, I agree.
