macross is the shit, but hikaru's (aka rick hunter in the american version) little thing with misa pissed me off. was way better off with minmei.

Here's an artical about it. It was animated around the same time that Macross was animated. A lot of the same designers worked on it too. Also the mecha design for Mospeada worked on Megazone23 as well. Macross, Megazone23 are two of the reason why I wanted to become and animator.
