GEARS OF WAR"Dust to Dust"
IT'S done!!! two weeks at 2 hours a day! Blah! But I am in love with the end result! So lets go over what was used.... EVERYTHING! all the techniques I've learned over the years are in this pic somewhere. From the way it was planned out to the ink to the color! This was the biggest project that i've Done in over 6 years! So I hope you like it cause I do! I had so much fun doing this that there will be more coming soon! But I need to get back to the stuff I was doing before XP

another great piece, still my issue with DBZ style but i think i can learn to love it, these pics are fantastic, one other issue, if this pic is set between Gears 2 and 3 then the Lancer he is holding is incorrect, in Gears 2 the Lancer had been slightly altered to give it a shorter chainsaw and longer gun barrel.

The whole DB issues is being corrected with every new pic. I'm not a DB artist anymore and am trying new stuff. As for the Lancer I really don't like the modification to the barrel/chainsaw bayonet. To me it just seems that the Barrel would get caught on shit or bent from heavy use of the saw on harder surfaces(I could sit here all day and talk about tech shit but I got stuffs to do lol). To answer your question this is actually 10 years before The Timgad bombing.

i see, i do preffer the newer Lancer but when Gears 3 is released i think i'll change to liking the older pre-Locust War Lancer more. I'll be lookin forward to more gears art from you.

Yea I can't wait for gow3 I'm so excited. I just finished reading Anvil Gate and I am stoked! As for the pendulum wars lancer FUCK YEA! That thing looks beast! Oh and Thanks they'll be plenty more coming.

i just read chp16 or 17 of that book, i've even read Aspho Fields and Jacinto's Remnant, before the release of Gears 3 there will be a 4th book called Coalation's End which is after Anvil Gate and Gears 3.

Both good lineart (especially the details on the armor and gun) and coloring(it has a nice soft feel to it), I was wondering how you color your drawings though?

Thanks! it was hard. I was ready to call it quits about hour 8 into it. all my other pics don't take longer than 6 hours but this one I think it ended up taking 10-12 hours. I didn't want to screw any of it up.
