Have you done a glacion one yet? They're so cute ....now that I think about it, t;s probably my favorite pokemon; closely followed by mew of coarse. What is your favorite pokemon?Β

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-08-11 05:51:16 +0000 UTC]

Nah, not yet. Glaceon, Leafeon and Sylveon are the only ones I haven't done. Lol I do love Umbreon, it's my second favourite Eeveelution, Leafeon being first.

Charizard is my favourite Pokemon of all time, when it first made an anime appearance after it evolved from the Charmeleon I just instantly fell in love with his design and his badass personality lol - he was the first thing I ever tried to draw too.

GeorgiaScarlett In reply to DansuDragon [2014-08-11 12:28:41 +0000 UTC]

Damn, drawing a Charzard first? I bet you were disappointed, but he is pretty cool. As for Leafeon, I never really liked it's design (looks too scrawny and generally beat up) but I do love Sylvion, I had one in X and it was SO strongΒ  but then I lost the game somewhere .Β Β  Β

If you really like Leafeon, why is it one of the only ones you haven't done? I'm confused Β .

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-08-18 18:39:38 +0000 UTC]

Nah, I love Charizard to bits lol.

Leafeon is literally the only grass type I like the look of and it's the only grass type I'll ever have on my team. I have just remembered though, I did do a Leafeon tribal - I think Glaceon and Sylveon are the only Eeveelutions I haven't done.
I have a shiny Sylveon on Y.

To be honest, I don't tend to draw based on what Pokemon I like, I just pick them at random or I'll even ask a few of my friends which ones they think I should do.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GeorgiaScarlett In reply to DansuDragon [2014-08-18 19:12:42 +0000 UTC]

I really like a lot of grass type pokemon like SSerperior and plenty of others, I personally think that rock, steel and fighting types look stuped and over the top, not to mention clanky so I very rearly have any of them on my team. By the way, how do you even make all of this tribal stuff? Is it a software?
A shiny sylvion must look so funny! What colour is it?

I can't ever draw requests for some reason; I have to like the thing that I'm drawing enough to spend time on it, otherwise I loose focus and give up. Pitiful I know, I think my drawings are only getting worse as well. Damn I hate artists' block. Although if you haven't done Glacion, please do and send a link!

I agree with you there, I don't have any rock/ steel/ fighting types on any of my teams. I've never found one I like the look of and is actually good at battling.
It's all done traditionally. I have pens that have Indian ink in them so the brush strokes blend into one another and you don't get any streaks off them. They also dry pretty fast too so I don't smudge anything.

All the pink is like a baby blue sort of colour, it looks a bit odd to be honest lol.

I can understand that. I always find that when I'm drawing something that a friend has suggested I end up doing a better job than if I'd just picked something of my own accord - maybe because I don't like disappointing people that it works out that way, who knows .
We all have those blocks though, it's so frustrating when you want to draw but nothing turns out right.

I'd like to do Glaceon and Sylveon to complete the set but it's always hard to find the time to do personal art with how many commissions I get plus having work aswell.
I should be getting a week off soon though so with a bit of luck I can catch up on comms and then do a Glaceon and Sylveon tribal.

YES, finally another person with no steel, fighting or rock types! I don't know why everyone obsesses over them "They look so cool," what is so cool about a rock? And like you said, usually they're slow and have pitiful defense, I think the only rock types I like are Sandslash (ground) and Amourous (ice).
Traditional? Wow, you're even more amazing than I thought! And great pens two, bet they were expensive?
I thought it would be blue ha I can imagine it now. And you said "coloUr" that means your also English I hate spell check saying it's wrong.

Anyway, it's amazing that you get determined because of your friends. So noble unlike me who will greatly disappoint everyone! My artist block is so weird; it's as if it's in reverse how I'm bad at drawing hen suddenly get good out of nowhere. Doesn't last too long though maybe it's because I'm not enraged?

Oh, I know what you mean (or at least I'd like to) when it comes to doing work, I'm not responsible and procrastinate until the very last minuet.... So much to complete for the next day. Good luck with everything! Yes I'm in a smiley face mood and mu 'C' button is playing up. Β  Β Β

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-08-21 19:36:17 +0000 UTC]

The only one I can stand is Meinshao but I still wouldn't ever have it on my team.
Amourous is alright to look at but the rock typage causes problems for it's ice typage and it's a pain to work around.

Aww well thank you! To be fair, the pens I use aren't as expensive as what you'd think considering their high quality, they're Faber Castel, my colouring pencils are the same brand - Polychromos and water colour Faber Castel.
Yes, I'm British-English. I think 'color' is the American spelling.

Lol thank you , I've always been a people pleaser, I don't like disappointing anyone if I can help it so I always give 100% when someone else suggests something which is why I turn to my friends when I get art blocks.
I've had phases like that over the years - it was mainly when I felt like my work wasn't good enough anymore and I'd end up drawing something badly and the next week something would go right but the week after I'd end up with a bad drawing again.
I think art blocks can be caused by a lack of confidence going off my own experiences with them - I don't tend to get them anymore because I feel more confident in my abilities as an artist and accept the kind of level I'm currently on but when I felt like my work wasn't good enough for me to call myself an artist, I had so many art blocks..

I can usually force myself to draw but sometimes I can get very down and just turn into a couch potatoe for a week.
Well thanks! Hopefully with my week off coming up I can get some Poke-tribals done that have been sitting in my head.

GeorgiaScarlett In reply to DansuDragon [2014-08-22 22:40:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, type can be an issue but it learns moves to counter like deep freeze which took out all of the water guy's pokemon i the Elite four and it's rock type moves took out the Fire one. I think the combo works extremely well and it's not like you only have that ONE pokemon, you have six.
You do realize that now I think the pens are even more incredible right Β ? As an English person, I cant STAND the spelling color; whenever I see the American spelling my blood starts to boil. How did they pick that up anyway? Colour is primary school logic, I knew the pilgrims were stupid but this is the worst!
My friends are too arrogant when it comes to art because they studied it at school (two of them anyway) but it's funny because I draw a lot better than one of them! Sometimes I wish I had taken art for GCSE but the work really isn't worth it.
Maybe it is a lack of confidence; I'm so unstable when it comes to art and people so I'm afraid of doing a bad job. I have my brother to thank for that as he thought that insulting my work would make me stronger but it did the opposite, not that I ever told him (as I said I'm not good when it comes to people).
The only way I ever draw is when I'm motivated by a dramatic part ofΒ  show and I go off and draw an anime character. Forget about a couch potato, I'm more like a melon; when I'm settled, it's a bother to get me off!
Good luck!

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-08-23 18:41:41 +0000 UTC]

Very true but I just don't like it having a weakness to water, as an ice type it's a bit annoying for water to go from being a regualr attack to then being super effective cause of the rock type that added on. I did use it in my team on X but it was always getting knocked out so I ended up swappping it for a Dragon type instead.
I usually have all Dragons on my team anyway, the only acceptions is Charizard (Y) and Eelecktross.

They are to be fair. Considering the quality of those pens they are very cheap compared to other brands like Prismacolour. The American spelling kinda annoys me a bit too but I just look at it as there are loads of different languages so even people who use the similar languages aren't always gonna have the same spellings lol.

I did GSCE art and then I did it as a Nation Diploma plus a level 3 qualification in Life Drawing - none of it has ever helped with what I draw now though as I'm self taught in animals whereas schoo and college was mainly life drawing and still life drawings so education in art isn't always a one up over other artists.
Well some of the best art I've seen comes from pure emotions, like the vent art that you get on here - emotions are always in your work but sometimes your emotions can take over, other times your brain takes over.
I used to be just like that. I went months and months without picking up a pencil because I felt so bad about myself and my art but then I just learned to accept the fact that although I may not be particularly bad at drawing, there will ALWAYS be someone better than me at what I do - that's just how life is.

Mine was such a good defender, I relied on it when I needed to revive another Pokemon. Doesn't an all dragon team seem unbalanced? The only dragon I have on my team is Altaria, I LOVE Altaria!

I hate companies that over price things and expect to make a profit when there are others like your pens that do a fantastic job and are an appropriate price. I would... maybe think like that if they accepted the word instead of saying it's wrong on things like this where you cant add it to the dictionary, over the years I grew to hate it.

Wow, you did all of that? AMAZING! You must really love art. My friends get so arrogant over the fact they did art and think that they are so much better than everyone who didn't, hence, it feels good to casually outshine one every now and again. Emotion huh? I guess that links in with my earlier comment, I'll keep that in mind.
I never wanted to be particularly good at art, it just came out of nowhere, the sudden urge to draw. I like how there are so many people who are truly amazing at art on devianART, it's so nice to get caught in waves of good things in the recommended. That's also how I found your work as well, your defiantly the best at drawing tribal Pokemon! Β  Β

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-09-02 10:14:51 +0000 UTC]

So was mine for a certain amount of the game but then once I hit the higher level Pokemon it just seemed to faint... Alot. So I swapped it.
Yes, it is extremely unbalanced but I've had a full Dragon team on every game possible so I've come across plenty of tricks and training techniques to can counter balance their typage enough not to get K.O'd by Ice types. My Salamence can actually take 2 Blizzards and still survive which is more than enough to knock out that ice type before it completely kills Salamence. I also tend to use the berries that can weaken super effective ice/dragon/ rock type moves and alot of the time I'll have an Eelecktross in my ranks because alot of my Dragons have Earthquake (Garchomp, Flygon and Salamence) so in double battles I can use Eelectross' Levitate ability to my advantage as well as the fact that it has no weaknesses - very handy Pokemon!

Omg I know! I really wanted the Prismacolour pencils aswell but they were just so far out of my price range at the time but I'm actually glad because the Faber Castels are amazing and I love using them!
Yeah the autocorrect on computers is pretty annoying for the English and American English spellings. If I wanted my words underlined then I'd just draw on my screen lol.

I do love art very much. It's always been priority in my life, even over people, because I know that art is something I'll always have whereas friends come and go, you drift apart from them etc. Art is the one thing in my life that I'll always be proud of no matter how bad the rest of my life might end up.
It always feels nice when you outshine someone who does the same things as you but I know there's always going to be someone better than me too so it keeps me level headed and pushes me to improve.

Yeah, I know there are alot of people who don't draw to imrpove, it's just fun or an emotional release for them - I used to be the same at one point but once I got into higher education art I realised that I wanted to do art as a career, even if it was just on a side rather than my main income. I just know I never want to let go of it.
Aww well thank you very much! I've always thought Canyx was the best Pokemon tribalist on here to be honest

GeorgiaScarlett In reply to DansuDragon [2014-09-08 15:41:16 +0000 UTC]

OK, trying to keep this as short as possible:
I've never been a huge fan of most dragon types but they are pretty cool. I'm going to try the new Sapphire game with only Ice types. But I don't think that will last long.

Ha ha, like your thinking! I'm dyslexic so spell check is very useful for me XD.

That sounded EMO of you but I am the same there; people can just be so hard to deal with and I'd rather draw than deal with them. Some are better though and I'd rather do stuff with them, I'm a bit scared of drifting apart from them. If the worst case scenario is you sell your tribal paintings for a living. Now that I think about it, that wouldn't be so bad.

Studying art must have been really boring wasn't it? I hate the history and analyzing the meanings of abstract and strange art. Most art isn't even metaphorical and that is art I like.

I had a look at her things, sshe's good, but not as good as you! some of her sketches on the other hand are absolutely amazing!Β

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-09-28 17:49:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Dragon types are a hit or miss for alot of people. Nice to have on your team but can be a pain to go against if you don't have fairy or ice moves/types in your team.
That sounds like a pretty cool plan! I'm not sure what I'm gonna do for my team yet other than Swampert. Still debating which version to get aswell lol.

To be honest, I am a bit of a grammar nerd but sometimes I like to use bigger words and just not sure of the spelling so that's where Google comes in!

Yeah, I guess it was a bit emo lol. I only meant it in terms of the people who I'm not close with. Exactly, as long as I have my family and my art then I don't see why I can't be happy in my life.

In all fairness, studying the growth of art and its influence on the world's way of seeing was very cool but my teacher had a very boring tone to her voice and just made it horrible to sit for 3 hours and listen to her. Good think I like taking notes on as much as I can.

Aww well I'll take that as a huge compliment as I actually look up to her! Thank you

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GeorgiaScarlett In reply to DansuDragon [2014-10-10 22:32:34 +0000 UTC]

AHHHH, YOU'RE GOING FOR SWAMPERT TOO!? I love it so much; so fricking cute! So fricking strong. I'm getting Sapphire (because I like blue); me and my brother always get the opposite game when they come out to trade the Pokemon that are on the other game, it's like a family tradition now.

Google it the only spell checker you will ever need! I'm now worrying how bad my grammar is as I am typing this message laying down with my laptop propped up by my knees/stomach/legs and a fairly jammed caps button...this position is actually really uncomfortable but I'm too lazy to move.

Yeah, I know, I'm the same there XD.

My friend also likes the growth and history of art. I've never seen why people are interested in that stuff though; I like art, making it and deciding my own interpenetration of a stupidly simple picture by a famous artist; most of my thoughts about them are 'rich guys wanting more money for less'. Disgusting. Lol, I always take notes I think are even remotely important but when it ever came to math, my brain just couldn't cope, probably because I had a boring teacher as well. Β

Ha, don't mention it! You're both great artists! And sorry I took so long to reply again, I was suddenly spammed with comments for some reason and this was at the back furthermore, I haven't been online often.

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-10-27 09:49:38 +0000 UTC]

Yup, Swampert is my favourite water type! There's no way I wouldn't pick it lol.
Oh well I'll be getting both anyway so it never matters to me which version I get first but I do love Latios so Alpha Sapphire it is lol. I used to do that with my cousin though when we were younger but he lives a fair distance away so it was hard to trade - we usually waited for the Christmas family parties and bring our DS with us.

Lol very true. I'm usually pretty good for spelling anyway but occassionally I can't remember how to spell stuff so I Google it! Haha, your spelling is fine if that makes you feel any better XD.
I know those ones. Uncomfortable but can't be bothered to move. Do it alllllll the time!

For me, the history of art isn't so much to do with the actual artwork itself but how the different styles and art periods affected the world as a whole instead of how it affects art. There are alot of art styles that ended up influencing fashion and architecture which I always found fascinating - especially the Art Deco and Art Nouveau periods, they even had a hand in furniture that was made!
My teacher was a nightmare to listen to. Her voice was just the same tone forever lol.

No worries, sorry for taking so long myself. Been so busy with work and commissions but no my works is cuttign back everyones hours so I've started looking for another job.

GeorgiaScarlett In reply to DansuDragon [2014-11-04 21:00:11 +0000 UTC]

Wow, both games, doesn't that cost a lot? Me and my brother get Pokemon from our Mum, I think it's a family tradition; it's allays been that way XD.

Google also understands what you're trying (and failing) to spell because it uses what other people have frequently typed where as spell check gets all confused and offers no/wrong spellings. I don't understand how anyone with any form of spell check could make mistakes since they're always underlined my that awful, red squiggly line. It annoys me.
Ha ha, I don't usually sit in an uncomfortable position mainly because I have a bit of OCD and the slight pain isn't equal and it makes me...well, I cant explain it, it's just unbearable XD.Β

So none of that 'look deeper' crap some artists like to spey when they see a finger painting by a guy who probably had artists' block and left a plain canvas on his child's play desk; I understand how SOME artworks are like that but some really are not at all deep messages, like that man who painted a blue canvas and put a yellow stripe on it to seeΒ  how people would react-he laughed when all of the fans of the painting asked if their theories were right. But when you put it in the times sence, it sounds interesting and logical.
I had one of my old math teachers (it's always the math teachers) who had a really deep voice that was the same pitch no matter what and it was at thar frequency that made you feel like your eardrums were going to explode, it was painful!

DansuDragon In reply to GeorgiaScarlett [2014-11-13 17:51:31 +0000 UTC]

Well I always have one as a birthday/ Christmas present and then I buy the second one myself so it halves the costs lol. Except X and Y. I bought both of those myself but only because I was too impatient to wait lol.

Oh gosh, I know! That's why I prefer Google to check my spelling.
I do hate that red line. If it isn't bad enough that you've made a spelling mistake, they have to underline it in the most obvious way they could possibly think of to make you feel worse.
See I get so engrossed in what I'm drawing that the pain I eventually get from being in such an uncomfortable position just doesn't kick in at all, not until I move off my bed which is usually when I've finished drawing and then all the pain hits me at once

Nah, I'm the same as you for that hidden meaning stuff that is supposedly in the painting of a few splodges lol.
Yeah, some artists tend to do paintings like that almost as a mockery of how other people try to put their logic into them when there never was any to begin with.

I had a decent math teacher in fairness, she was very patient considering my class was full of idiots that never listened to her.

Ha ha, apparently the new pokemon games are really good, is that true? And lol, you REALLY hate that red line don't you; it's so funny to read your complaints about them. I don't think there is a comfortable drawing position but I keep shuffling about until I'm doneΒ  .Β

Oh thank God for that! There is no meaning to most art, and what's so hidden about paint?

Lol no worries, we've all done it

They are actually really good, I've almost finished Alpha Sapphire so as soon as I do I'll be buying Omega Ruby. They've added some cool new features into the game such as free flying around the region on the back of Latios/Latias, depending on which game you have.
Very true. I can only keep still because I'm too busy concentrating but if I take my mind off the drawing then I get really uncomfortable and can't stop fidgeting.

Lol unless it's invisible paint, then nothing
