Looking back, I see where I have gone wrong. My mistakes resonate through me and I know they will always serve as life lessons. However, Edison assures me that no matter how many mistakes I make, they bring me that much closer to understanding the truth. At least that's my interpretation of it. I haven't failed, because as he puts it, "every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward", and I know this to be true. So what does that say about my resolve? I have made amends with my heart and soul, but now it is time to make amends with those I've hurt. They deserve so much better than what I've given them. And so my mistakes actually help to make me a better person. Likewise can be said about the rest of the human race. When I look back, I don't see my life as a failure, but instead, I see it as a life well-lived, and I wouldn't change anything for all the world. Now, to take that knowledge into the future...
