Even as a person who does ship Dante,Lady and Trish together,I for one understand that this is parody referring to the Devil May Cry 1 ending. I don't have the slightest clue what her powers are or what weapons she herself has. That means Trish and Lady can go shopping together in the meantime.

I really just don't get all the hate for 'XIII. I mean, I admit it starts off slow, but as soon as you get to chapter 11, you're rewarded for all that linearity with the glorious open spaces and missions to complete of Gran Pulse. Besides, I don't think the fact that it was linear is a very good reason to call it the worst game of the series, seeing as FFX was just as linear, if not moreso.

Lightning has emotions, she just does her best to hide them because she sees herself as the leader and doesn't want to upset other people. I've never recalled Lightning say "Destiny is Destiny" as a victory phrase, and if they are your best reasons, they are quite frankly not very good.
Saying you could write a character based off another fully developed character from a previous game is not exactly very impressive. The fact is that Final Fantasy XIII is not VII nor was it trying to be. If they just had the same characters with different names on every game, it would get extremely boring extremely quickly. You want FFVII? Play on FFVII. Simples.
