Been a while, hasn't it?

When I first started this account, I uploaded a photo of Raymond and Ruby together in an art commission titled "From the Trenches to Vale", this is essentially a prequel to that.

As the red haired girl raised her scythe into the air, ready to strike and seriously wound him, Raymond began to ponder his recent life decisions. He wondered how any of what he did brought him into a world that was completely foreign to him, no different than when Columbus landed in the new world. Not even a week ago, he was stationed in an outpost someplace in France, ready to fight the Germans and save the day. How on earth did he end up in a predicament such as this?

Still, the better question to ask was whether or not his handgun would stop the unsupervised minor wielding a deadly high impact sniper rifle scythe hybrid. It was a new fangled .45 caliber M1911 which was advertised as a weapon which could stop a grown cow in their tracks. Hopefully such a statement was true.
