Description I was planning to do a DK Joker piece sometime anyways, but I was suddenly motivated today by Heath Ledgers shocking death. The Dark Knight will be his "The Crow".

I like this piece because it captured one of the parts of the trailer that stuck with me. I always remember that very last scene.... "Let's put a smile on that face!", with the Joker looking back at Batman with a disgusted look.

I was shocked like everyone at Heath's death. He was a decent actor and not just one of those "supermodel" star's. Leger's performance as the Joker looks very impressive... it's just a shame he could not enjoy it. It has hurt my excitement about seeing "The Dark Knight" actually. Still looking forward to it but it's not the same.

Actually I took this from a screen cap from the trailer. And thanks for the feedback, This is one of the movies coming out that I am most excited about.

Wow...an awesome tribute to a truly gifted actor. He will be missed--and I'm looking forward to seeing this performance, too. The angle of view here is dizzying, and offers a wonderful perspective to this disturbed character--we see not only his madness...but some of the fear that no doubt haunts his deepest recesses... Terrific work, man!

Yep, his star was definitely on the rise. I wonder how this will effect the release of 'The Dark Knight'?

"I wonder how this will effect the release of 'The Dark Knight?' "

If I had to venture a guess, I'd bet it will boost the film's take; it's odd, how that happens: remember "The Crow?" How it became a virtually overnight cult success...? I'd bet that the same thing will happen with this film...

I didn't mention in my previous comment how impressed I am with this, particularly considering the speed with which you managed to complete it. If there's a way for the departed to see back into this existence, I'm certain Heath is thoroughly enjoying this piece!

That creeps me out a little bit, but thanks.

I didn't mean to "creep you out," but only meant that he would love your rendering of his portrayal! I know I do!

Is the price we pay for a great performance have to be death??
And I LOVE your style of drawing.

I know, I didn't comment too much on his death in my artist comments mostly because I hadn't heard if it was an accidental OD or Suicide. I'm sure there is a lot of pressure put on these young stars but still it's a sad situation and I mean not sad in the normal sense that at death is sad.

Most think it was accidental, since he's said in a recent interview that he's been taking sleeping pills... He'd take two ambien just to get an hour's sleep... his mind would stop thinking... I would hate to think that the role of Joker was what caused this...

Yeah I just read that his Autopsy came back inconclusive, It's really too bad. The other sad and scary part is the producers and studio are probably secretly loving this knowing they're going to get a whole new audience for this movie - people who want to see Heath's last movie role.

Yeah, it's so sad.

Nice work on limited time, though! The body language says volumes, and the perspective definitely adds something.
