This is a wonderful piece!
I think it's mainly the colours and how much they contrast and yet... not, at the same time.
The composition is fantastic and it feels as if you've captured enough land, building and sky.
Great stuff, and well portrayed, in terms of the message and whatnot.

I think the title is all wrong... This seemes more like a manifestation of Heaven, than the sign of the Apocalypse... I really love the colours...
And please, enlighten me... Why are you thinking of the Apocalypse? I know it's upon us, but it's scary as hell... Leave it be and pray it doesn't happen during our lifetime...
