Trying to fool the other: "Hey, you need to look for that vampire, now run!" It's actually a pretty good method of fooling someone.

Yeah, although it works better when you don't actually tell them that you're the vampire.

He's also the first (and so far only) black character in my entire comic so far.
And you know what, I've only just realized that.
I should really see about rectifying the fact that he's the only black character to appear in 20 Quid Amusements.

It's not created any problems so far, and I doubt it will do.
There's three reasons I chose a black guy for the vampire. The first is because he wouldn't have pale skin and wouldn't look like a vampire, the second is because I hadn't had a black guy yet, and the third was because a black vampire sounded like an original and thus great idea.
I don't regret my choice for a second. (Not as though there's ever been a reason to regret it.)
The truth be told though, my throwaway characters tend to be white males... I really need to start creating a more diverse cast of throwaway characters, because... well... I like diversity I suppose. It adds realisim (which I know isn't something you need for a humorous comic strip, but I still like adding it.)

Hahaha, you guessed right!
Sorry for the months-later-response, but I just kind of fell off the planet for a bit...

I seem to remember vamps mentioning other quest kill-this creatures to get you off their tail. What's fun is when the vamps are in a whole house filled with cult members - you call him out and instead they all attack YOU.

You'd think that after living for a few centuries they'd be a bit more smarter, or do you think dementia sets in?

Maybe having alcohol as the only sustenance gives bad orientation skills?

I'm pretty sure vampires can't drink anything except blood. Hence why the Dwarven Vampires end up being sober.

Probably why some vampires blame animals for killing that dead dwarf in the dining hall. They just want an end to it all.

I know the feeling. My queen came to my fort, looking all pale like.
She's been caught redhanded some times and everytime she is like:
"What? Me? Killing the miller, don't be silly. It is only a coincidence that I am in his room, standing beside his dead body with a straw in my hand. No, it was the brewer who did it I tell you!"

Yeah, but sometimes they don't get the death they want do they?
I once found a vampire who was a Doctor, so I made him the Captain of the Guard and dug him a grave which I locked him inside of. He's still standing there, waiting for me to give him another order or to let him out.
I want to make him cave adapted so he'll puke everywhere, as a form of torture.

A vampire so smart, he knocks people off his trail by implying that he's a vampire.

It's called reverse psychology, and apprently it does work, or at least it does according to psychologists (which lets face it, those guys don't have the slightest clue how people work).

Makes you wonder how someone without sanity can judge whether or not someone else still retains their sanity.

Either that or completely messed up... I'm leaning towards the latter.
