Description
Springback binding with rigid spine.Dark blue cover leather hand dyed.
Elvish ribs reliefs on front cover, back cover and spine.
Metallic decorative symbol on front cover.
Bookmark dark blue satin.
Blue and silver handbands hand-stitched.
Pages printed with a watermark with the same motif of the front cover plate.
Each sheet was cut by hand in the measures required by the customer.
Size: 28 x 21 cm for a total of 300 pages.
Rilegatura Spring a dorso rigido con apertura a scatto dei piatti.
Rivestimento in pelle blu scuro tinta a mano.
Nervature con motivi elfici in alto rilievo sul piatto anteriore, posteriore e sul dorso.
Stemma decorativo in metallo sul piatto anteriore.
Segnalibro di raso blu scuro in tinta con la pelle.
Capitello blu ed argento cucito a mano.
Pagine con stampa in filigrana con dello stesso motivo del piatto di copertina anteriore.
Ciascun foglio Γ¨ stato tagliato a mano nelle misure richieste dal cliente.
Dimensioni: 28 x 21 cm per un totale di 300 pagine.

What can on, " WOW! This is absolutely stunning, beautiful, creative and an all around incredible piece of craftsmanship! " The color is in my top 3 favorite colors! I also said I am very talented in many creative endeavors and have been spellbound by the art of bookbinding for about 8 years or so when my sister gave me a homemade journal book out of homemade paper with pressed wildflowers in it. It was given to me to write a story or use as a journal. Well...??? I can't bring myself to write in it because it is so beautiful! I am and always been fairly poor but have much stuff to do all kinds of sewing and crafts, just not a big enough space to spread out and create so I am afraid to write in it because I might make a mistake in ink and ruin the whole thing! So I have decided I am going to bind a book of my own one day and then and only then will I write in my gift book! I have never see a page like this one here so I do not know if you have man things you have made but I will soon find out. One question: Did you dye this leather yourself?

Wow, that is impressive. Β Do you have to manually press the leather down around the cord, or do you use a special press? Β How much would you charge for that type of detail, and do you know if it holds up well over time?

Yes, under leather there are about 6 meters of a thin cord hand cut and glued

Brilliant!! Do you mind if I give it a try? I got to do a custom book with vines and leaves running everywhere, and I've been looking at a way to give volume to them! Using cord sound like an easy enough way to do it, and it help keep the natural look of vines!

I have to say. I am taking a book making class for my graphic design study in college for my degree. Honestly this is just stunning and amazing to look at. The amount of time that you had to have put into this is just awesome and really above all, awe inspiring. Amazing work. Keep up the good work!
