Was fun, but if I ever do it again, I need a friend designated to help me out (vs friends there to enjoy the con, that sorta stop by long enough for me to get a chance to pee). I didn't think about how long the hours would be. Hope you also had a great time at NDK, have you been in their artist alley often?

It's my third time at the NDK but I do other cons and I'm looking to branch out as I doubt I'll get back in another year to NDK. The lottery system my not love me another time and I don't think any of the other artists put me down as artist pick for the contest to come back. I'm lucky that my brother enjoys helping with my booth. We've gone to cons since 1998 so we've kind of seen it all and there is rarely anything in the dealers room we can't get from friends in Japan or on ebay if we really want it. The biggest appeal for us is the people. Seeing the costumes and meeting new folks and other artists. Makes it easier to have him on my team so I can go take a nap or leave the con without having to worry about my stuff.
I broke my leg last year and my room mate and a friend from NH of all places came out to sell stuff for me while I was drugged up and healing. After you do it once alone you learn fast to ask others for help so you doing end up with con hang over by sunday. I usually promise everyone who helped me a dinner after the con is over and feed them while at the con. Seems to work well and I can get a nap in under the table ahaha! I sound so old -smirks-

I voted for you. Since I never walked around to chat with other artists (&too oblivious of the artists that stopped by my table), so I wrote down my neighbors & you since I had seen you had commented on my dA page.
Yeah I may have to look into other anime/comic events in the denver-boulder area that have artists alleys I can apply to. I was surprised I got into NDK on my first try since I had heard the lack & space & lottery makes it difficult to get into.
My plan was for my brother to help since he had pre-registered, but between homework & his wife being sick he wasn't even able to make it out for even one of the days.

aw thank you. I'm waiting for the forums on ndk to put up the other contest for people to vote on which table they liked. Yuki said it would be up soon. Sorry your sister in law was sick. Next year though, next year you will have help and be in again! =crosses fingers=
