I think he's super cute too.  Normally, I abhor the color pink, but being an avid lover of kabuki theater and exaggerated mannerisms… well, you know why I love him now.  His hair is a freaking mane!

You totally speaks from my own soul...to bad I haven´t witnessed a Kabukishow in real so far.
I admit that I´m not that big fan of pink combined with fairy-glitter-pony stuff.
But THAT guy can wear pink hair without loosing any manlyness in my eyes.
And ohh~ yeah his fluffy-puffy mane is insanely thick and supercool to draw.

I did a paper on it (Kabuki's) history and impact on modern Japanese culture back in high school, and it's stayed with me since then.  After taking a look at your gallery, I've seen that Kumadori's hair reminds me of the cherry blossoms in spring, which are lovely no matter if you like pink or not.  Pink IS NOT a girly color, and Kumadori is proof of that.  Yo-yoi!

Oh that´s pretty cool. Well in my case it´s a VERY odd development.
First cames the interest about marionettes -> me liking Kankuro from Naruto very much
-> he wears Kabuki paint -> research about the uber-stylish paint and Kabuki in general
-> noticing Kumadori with his plain epic Kabuki-style n cherry-blossom-storm-like hair. *____*
And there my own artwork circles somehow closes.
Thanks to the whole stuff, I´ve also createn this guy for an RP-group here: master-kankuro.deviantart.com/…
To RP in somehow a "realstic" way I needed further researchments all about Edo-Japan and Kabuki.
Sooo we both can see, that two Kabuki-geeks just have meet here at dA...it´s wonderful to share same interests with others.

Oh and about the Cherryblossom pink, I be it´s SUPPOSED that he has this colour, so Kumaodri can perfectly camouflage as a cherry-tree or candy-cotton for a mean revenge. Nah~ I´m playing stupid again..sorry.
