The top rose is from "the rose that was". I kept it until now Maple leaves as base picked up from China because M'sia doesn't have autumn. Sad, really. Calligraphy pen written on leaf, then burnt the sides. At first I wrote "memories" instead of "you + me", but it looked too drab. Too single-worded. Burnt the leaf in my room, which was a Bad Idea, since the ashes all flew to the floor and around my desk

Inspired by Val Kallias' Cut Flower and Plant Arrangement photos, like [link] Thought I'd try some of my own, but they seem to be lacking in vibrant colours Note to self: get fresh roses.

Post-processing in Camera Raw and PS. Increased green in channel mixer by 5%, decreased blue by 3%. Increased highlights of red, decreased midtones of green and increased highlights of green in curves. Clarity 100%.
Just thought I'd share how I post-processed this. It still looks a tad too yellow/orange though...
