This is from "The Mystery on the Beach," one of my old Petticoat Detective mysteries.

In case you missed it, this is from a series of children's adventure stories in the style of Nancy Drew or The Famous Five, all revolving around a child, Tony, confronting adversity and triumphing ... all while trapped in the guise of a girl.

This is a scene when Tony -- disguised as "Antonia" -- is in pursuit of something mysterious in the night. I don't draw the environment much, but in this case I wanted Tony to look as vulnerable as possible. What do you think? Pretty good for somebody who can't draw a lick, huh?
