Description Very Shiny, No? Red dragon motiff brocade over paper mache with two types of black trim around the edges. The irridescent rooster feathers are held in place by a filagree metal finding with dangling black beads and large glass pendant added to its center.

It's beautiful, I love it! I especially like the trimming with the feathers and the pendant. I kinda like the cloth too, but I feel as if the pattern on it makes the mask seem a squick busy, like a plain red or a subtler pattern which didn't introduce any new colors (red, darker red, and darkest red vs. Red, black, and WHITE with added YELLOW) might have been better, ya know?

Thanks I can see what you mean. The problem with using sari or brocades is that the patterns are all beautiful but very often too large for such a small "canvas" as a mask. This is actually one of the smaller patterns I found. Plus, I always wanted a jacket in this material with a mandarin collar and nvr had one - lol - so I bought a yard of the stuff ... which can cover a lot of masks. A red damask would be subtler - if you can find it. Problem is everyone is into icky post-boho green, pink and turquoise clothes rather than richer, darker materials and colors.
