The Flying Dutchman has been one of my favorite stories ever since I was a kid
I love the idea you had to create this piece and I also love how you put it all together! The ship itself looks so majestic, dark, ominous, mysterious and so many other things, the empty space you left on the right side really adds to it and makes it stand out. Its captivating and leaves you wonder and dream and imagine what it can possibly be going on in that ship.
Its talent when you are able to inspire feelings, mood and thoughts in other people either doing it consciously or subconsciously.
Really well done and to think it was a speedpaint too!

You know, I just realized, when I do digital work, I'm not using even 1/16th of the things photoshop can do..
I try to get it done the same way I'd do traditional - and I noticed a lot of digital artists will paint a shape, and then manipulate it however they want.
This is a pretty significant difference from the traditional design process where you have to erase and redraw it, instead of using the free transform tool.
Interesting stuff.
