Description
This is another dragon I created with a ball point pen. His arms don't quite look right, but I still like it.UPDATE: now with improved picture!

Well, basically I try to use the pen as though it were a pencil in the sence that you can get lighter and darker tones by applying more or less pressure. It is just trying to get the pen to make these differently toned strokes that can take a ton of trial and error. I also use cross-hatching to help even out the darkness of the pen.
That is about the best explanation I can come up with. Hope it helps!

Yeah I do too. I draw with pencil first, that's how I fix things up. Also I may be in the middle of a pic and I'll decide to change something.
