Description Aaand my comissions for Maxwell continues. This time, it's Ben.

Not much to say on this one: I mostly followed Maxwell's instruction. The only hard part was the Omnitrix, which I had to design basing myself on limited description. I did my best. Hope you are satisfied.

Needless to say, Gwen is next.

Ben 10 (c) Man of Action.

The leader of Team Alien Force himself has entered the fray. Since the defeat of the Highbreed Armada at Earth, and the end of their generation-purity crusade against life, Ben has been awarded nominations and awards from many walks of life congratulating him on saving the "whole entire universe" as they put it, only to receive a snarl from him as he grows weary of this popularized misconception, uttering for them firmly to correct this mistake as all the Highbreed were concerned with at the time was considerably galactic-level genocide, and to also acknowledge those whom fought alongside him, and to hold silence for the human-DNAliens that had died long ago by his hand whether it was intentional or not (Ben 10 Returns and the Ken Tennyson episode to name a few where it happened). In his own eyes, Ben feels himself to be a real description of a monster than what Kevin felt in his second transformation, and chastised him for this ("The deeds you've performed under the influence of my power when we were kids was not the real you. The destruction that I have done... that I have caused... all the cities ruined, all the lives lost... You transformed beyond your will, I transformed deliberately. So stop talking about Monsters and Men Kevin: for you are always going to be more of a man, than I will ever truly be. So don't hold self-pity in my presence."), regardless of this burden, Ben feels the need to maintain a presence of calm and collection around him, believing that he is the only one fit to lead because of him lacking powers outside of the Omnimatrix itself ("Why, because you saved the whole entire universe?" "...No, I only saved my world, I coaxed the Highbreed into stopping themselves for the sake of the galaxy, nothing more or less than that. The reason I lead is to keep others from suffering, only I can go to these extremities because of my own humanity, and it is because of my humanity that I lead."), his friendship with Gwen, Kevin, and the Plumbers Helpers still go strong, unlike the Ben of AF Season 3: this Ben holds them in the highest of regards ("You are important to me, to them, never think that you are weak for you are stronger than I can become, wiser than I will know, and you are more human than I shall be."), even to the point of nearly murdering the Vreedles for accidentally afflicting Julie with Hyper-Radiation Poisoning on their job to repossess Ship, and threatening to do the same with Baz-El when he approached Ben after seemingly winning the trial ("This is Earth you Shisno. The farthest-most corner of the Wild Galactic Frontier, out here if you commit a single crime, it is punishable by execution with no chance for trial. It is not our fault, it is just... human of us to do it. Because of your 'premature victory' Julie will have to be bonded with Ship forever to prevent further spread of the poison. Hyper-Radiation has been illegal in this galaxy for over 60 years, so all known medicinal cures for it are gone too. If you value your life itself: do not come into this room, or get in my eyesight. I will know wherever you are in here, so don't bother doing any funny business." "But I won the tr-" "YOU won a trial in an alien court because I was acting on human nature for her sake. Do you really want to know why I've left them alive? To pass along a message, a message for those who think it's okay to cross my path and make me mad, to take away my loved ones: those people that matter to me, what I shall do to people that want that to happen. The scary thing about all of this, I had wanted to kill them, oh how I wanted to kill them and be rid of them forever, but then there will be those that ask 'what happened to them?' I think that it'll be an answer they can answer on their own, don't you agree? Of course you do. What better way to tell them, than through those that had witnessed the events, the victims of these events, and those that tell about it will pass along the message to the told. This visit is over now, I suggest you leave before I change my mind. Listen to me, I am already starting to shake with rage now, I don't know what might happen next. Take. Your. Leave."). In combat outside of his transformations, Ben relies on swords to his advantage, more-often the battles that Ben won was by his blade than by his watch ("Why carry that sword around with you, Ben? Isn't your transformations enough?" "The sword is an icon of a realistic warrior, I cannot just rely on transformation after transformation to win my fights. For that will indicate that Humanity cannot put up a strong enough defense by their will alone, and I do not want to see creatures like Vilgax, the Weapon Masters, or anyone of their ilk see us as ants meant to be crushed underfoot out of disgust. Whenever I draw this sword, I make a pledge that I am indeed human. We may seem small to them, but in truth we are as giant as they are. And that they need to see us differently from then on if they want to survive me.").

I'm a bit lost too, but that reminds me. Where are we going to fit the Highbreed in all this?

Well... I thought you didn't intend to include them, but if you do, I might have some ideas...

It's not that I didn't want to include the Highbreed. They were part of what made Ben 10: Alien Force good. The problem is, how do I fit them in. It's that same reason I haven't added Charmcaster into the narrative of Super Smash Bros. Crossover. I want to add them...I just don't know how.

I understand that. The problem is that we can't afford to include the Hightbreeds as second-rank villains, since they had such a big impact in AUF, being a major accomplishment that made Ben so famous in-universe. With your story focusing essentially on Vilgax and bringing most villains back to him, it might be hard to make them fit.

Well, how about we bring the Highbreed in AFTER Vilgax's first invasion. After Vilgax's presumed death, his followers will begin operating under their own agenda (such as Malware in the Albdeo Corps Arc).

That COULD work... I just wonder if that won't make a bit too many invasions... Unless... Yeah, I might have ideas.

Thanks. I wish I had given him a more dynamic pose like Kevin, but I couldn't figure out something. Maybe I'll do an other drawings with him in one.
