Description Ok, another test, perhaps the last "geometry/rigging" test.
I wanted to do some render with genesis in a more extreme pose, to see how the cybernetic parts react. And I'm quite satisfied with them!

As you can see, I worked more on the hands and added some nice gadgets: cyberblades for the arms, and a couple of cyber-pins on the head.
Now it's time to start working on textures...

Software used: Wings3D, Zbrush, Daz Studio 4.6

Hope you like!
As always, Comments and suggestions will be veeeeeeeeeery apreciated!
Thanks!

Hey in those dark spots between the joints how about some glowing circuitry or wires.

Arm Blade is awesome I have a plan for this Like you would not believe. I think my oldest character may get a makeover.

I like the spine but I think it looks a bit too rounded off.

If his back is skin, wouldn't sharp edges be a problem? I think the rounded edges on this spot make more sense. Unless I am missing something?

idk I thought it might look more tech. the capsules on the back just seem like they are maybe raised too high. Regardless the scheme as a whole is friggin sweet.

I sit here and I am all excited. I was never as much excited for a set as I am for this one.

Maybe you can give it some options for visibility. So we can easily switch parts of it on and off. If for example my character wears longs sleeves, we only need to see the hands of it. Or when he wears long pants with boots, we do not need to see anything of the legs...

Really excellent ! I hope that you will create a lot of material zones, or provide UV maps so that we can customize the textures ...

Well, not a lot of material zones, at least 4 on legs and arms, and 1 or 2 on the other pieces. But obviously a complete UV template!

Excellent.

Can I suggest two sorts of textures, a metal one and a carbon fiber alloy?

Nice. You should do a V4/M4 version too; some people still use these models, y'know...

Hhm, the spine elements look a little bit too soft and rounded in my opinion. If I imagine them in metal I think I would prefer less soft edges and more flat sharp edges. Compared to the fingers they look less defined in design but of course I don't know what textures you've planned for them.Β

I don't mind the softer edges for one simple reasonβ€”sharp edges can cut the flesh the cybernetics are attached to. Yes, you could square the corners off a little more, but I wouldn't go too sharp.
