Description This is basically just a sequel to my Top 10 Mary-Sues, which can be found right here fav.me/db3ivxq

10. The Princes (Disney's Snow White/Disney's Cinderella) -  Poor Snow White and Cinderella get a lot of flack for being "too sweet" and "too boring", but at least they had personalities and story arcs.  These guys on the other hand, are nothing more than cardboard plot devices.  Seriously, Snow White's prince only shows up in the beginning and the end, and Cinderella's prince wasn't even introduced until half way into the movie!  Their sole traits are just "handsome" and "nice".  However, I will forgive them for being characters from the 30's and early 50's, which is why I only have them at #10.

9. Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto) -  I've talked about this character a couple times before, and while I don't "hate" Sasuke, he still bugs me as a character.  No matter how hard I try, I can't think of any notable flaws he might have, apart from being extremely anti-social.  Yes, he had a lot of problems going on in his life, but there's a huge difference between "problems" and "flaws".  Naruto had flaws, Sakura had flaws, and even Kakashi had flaws, but Sasuke....yeah, sorry, I just don't see it.

8. The Rowdyruff Boys (The Powerpuff Girls) -  I'm sure a lot of people who grew up with The Powerpuff Girls were fascinated by these three little troublemakers when they first appeared.  I should know, I was one of those people.   However, as I got older, I realized how bland and incredibly stale the Rowdyruff Boys actually were.   They're literally just genderbent repaints of the Girls with even LESS personality.  How?  Well, let's start with each of the Girls: Blossom is the smart one, Bubbles is the cute one, and Buttercup is the tomboy/tsundere.  Now, what do we know about the Rowdyruff Boys?  Well, Brick is the aggressive misogynist, Boomer is the aggressive misogynist, and Butch is also the aggressive misogynist.  All three of these boys have the EXACT SAME PERSONALITY, so it's really hard to tell which one is which, unless you look at their color schemes.  I'll admit, they were really good foils for the Girls, but that was just about their only purpose in the show: to be foils.  They did have potential to be love interests in the episode Clip Show, but even when they casually interact with the Girls as teenagers, they're still bland as hell!  Good God, even the Chippettes from the 80's Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon had more distinctive personalities than these brats!

7. Peter Pan (Disney version) -  While the Disney version is one of the most iconic incarnations of the character, he fails to represent what made the character so endearing and sympathetic in the original J.M. Barrie story.  Most of the other adaptations got this right, even Steven Spielberg got this right (for the most part) in Hook.  Each of those versions gave Peter a reason to be afraid of growing up and why he hated adults so much.  Heck, the 2003 film is pretty much about Peter Pan experiencing love for the first time.  This version of Peter is treated like the glorified hero of Neverland, even though he almost gets his friends killed on multiple occasions, including Wendy and Tigerlily.  Heck, when Wendy was almost pulled down under water by the mermaids, all Peter did was laugh at her, and he even had to be reminded by Wendy to rescue Tigerlily (who also almost drowned, by the way).   This version doesn't even bother to explain Peter's backstory and why he came to Neverland in the first place (they almost did, but sadly it ended up on the cutting room floor).  Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the Disney movie for nostalgic reasons, it's just....I've seen better versions.

6. Timothy Brisby (The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue) -  Oh boy, where do I begin?  Not only was this character a terrible replacement for Mrs. Brisby, but he did absolutely NOTHING in his own damn movie!  Seriously, everyone in Thorn Valley (including Justin) kept hyping this kid up to be the next Jonathan Brisby, when all Johnathan did was help the rats escape from laboratory.  What about all that cool stuff Mrs. Brisby did for you guys, like volunteering herself to be bait for the cat to prevent you from being captured again, or expose Jenner for the fraud he was, or SAVE HER OWN CHILDREN FROM CERTAIN DEATH WITH A SINGLE MAGICAL AMULET THAT NICODEMUS HIMSELF ENTRUSTED HER WITH?!!    But nah, I guess you have to be a guy in order to be the Hero of Thorn Valley, right?    All Timmy ever did was whine and chicken out like a coward!  Oh, and the title of this sequel makes no sense at all.  "Timmy to the Rescue"?!  Yeah, because that doesn't sound pompous or egotistical at all, especially if your sequel's main character is this useless and bland!

5. Flash Sentry and Timber Spruce (Equestria Girls) -  As much as I enjoy the Equestria Girls movies for their campy cheesiness, there are some things in them that aren't really necessary, specifically the two male "love interests", Flash Sentry and Timber Spruce.  Now, to be fair, Timber did have a little bit more personality than Flash, but let's face it, the only reason he was created was to start a "love triangle" between Flash and SciTwi.  I personally never cared for Flash due to how superfluous his character was.  He barely interacts with the girls at all, and his contributions to the plot are little to none.  I'm pretty sure the only useful thing he ever did was help Twilight get out of detention once.   Still, I wish we could get more from these two and see them play a much bigger role in the EG universe, but I'm afraid that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

4. Optimus Prime (Transformers Prime) -  Now, I'm not usually too picky when it comes to different versions of Optimus.  I do really like the G1 Optimus, and the Transformers Animated Optimus, and even the Beast Wars Optimus.  However, I'm not very fond of...well, actually there are a couple versions of him I'm not very fond of, one of them being the Optimus Prime from the Michael Bay films, and the other one being Transformers Prime's Optimus.    I REALLY wanted to give this version a chance, I really did.  He had the exact voice as G1 Optimus (I'm a huge Peter Cullen fan, by the way), and he even had almost the exact same design as G1 Optimus, but as far as personality's concerned, TFP Optimus doesn't have any.   You see, the thing that made G1 Optimus so awesome and iconic was that he wasn't just a force to be reckoned with, but a kind and gentle soul who helped the ones in need, and always looked out for the humans, even the ones that despised and underestimated him.  TFP Optimus, on the other hand, is a Batman wannabe that tries too hard to be "wise" and "cool", and doesn't care about humans at all, not even the ones he's supposedly friends with.  I hear he's much worse in Robots in Disguise (the newer one that's meant to be a sequel to Prime), but I haven't really watched that one yet.

3. Edward Cullen and Jacob Black (The Twilight Saga) -  Just like Timber Spruce and Flash Sentry, these guys only exist to be eye candy for the main heroine.  Yet, somehow, these two are even worse!  One of them is an abusive stalker with an emo complex, and the other is just a walking piece of fanservice that's allergic to shirts.

2. Kirito (Sword Art Online) -  Nuff said.

1. Jared Shapiro (Powerpuff Girls 2016) -  GOOD.  FREAKING.  GOD.  This character....just....WHY?!  Who gave this writer permission to self-insert himself as a love interest for one of the (underaged) main characters?!   I mean, sure, you can do it in fanfiction, but when you're a professional writer of a children's cartoon, you need to give yourself some limits, especially if you're a grown man with a disturbing attraction to 6 year old girls.  As someone who grew up with the original Powerpuff Girls, I wanted to give this reboot a fair shot, but every time I did it always managed to disappoint me in one way or another, but once the truth about this "character" came out, I wanted to scream and punch a whole in my computer.   Look, it's one thing to sneak in a self-insert of yourself in the background as a staff in-joke, but making your self-insert a love interest for a 6 year old is a whole new level of fucked up!  You want to know the worst thing about it?  This "character" has actually gotten more screen time than any major villain in the show so far!  That's when you know you've hit rock bottom!

Btw, Walt Disney himself actually hated Peter Pan most likely because of his behavior. The only good thing that I think Peter did was punish Tinker Bell for trying to hurt Wendy. He was much better in the sequel (He actually rescued Jane from the Mermaids even though two of them were nice to her except for one who tried to splash her with water and Peter rescued her before it happened, probably scared that they will treat her the same as they treated her mother, Wendy).Tinker Bell was just as bad as him earlier but then she changed due to character development. The mermaids though are worse than Tinker Bell's initial personality. Tinker Bell and the Mermaids all have one thing in common, they're all jealous of Wendy and want Peter to themselves. In the sequel, you can tell Tinker Bell doesn't like them because she was like "HA! IN YOUR FACE!" when she saw two of them accidentally get soaked.

I used to like the Rowdyruff Boys but it was BEFORE I saw the episode they debuted and then I realized, oh boy I do not like them at all. They're too misogynistic, vile, cruel, sadistic, and irritating. I agree they are not the male counterparts of the Girls personality-wise because they all have the same personalities. Even though Brick has leadership skills, compared to Blossom, he's overtly bossy which doesn't make it any better. In Powerpuff Girls Z, they were less violent and were more overbearing troublemakers and they're even mean to Mojo but they're still no better than their American cartoon counterparts because they PEED in public and lifted up the Girls' skirts. They still have no individual personalities in the anime adaption.

Oh man, I agree that Edward and Jacob are Gary-Stus. Even though lots of other Twilight haters think that Jacob is the only well-developed character, I disagree with them. He barely changed and got worse by becoming a pedophile. He's just as selfish as Edward.

I thought that the Sailor Starlights from Sailor Moon are actually female? This is why I got confused about how are they Gary-Stus if they're not truly male.

Yes, in the anime, they were made as boys in their civilian forms but their civilian forms aren't their true forms. In the manga, they only pretended to be men. They were made them turn into real boys in their civilian forms to censor LGBT themes and even the creator of Sailor Moon got pissed off about it.

It's fine. It's understandable to mistake them to be truly male because the Sailor Senshi are seen in their civilian forms most of the time.

Even Craig McCracken hated the RowdyRuff Boys and the PPGXRRB fanfictions. The episode "City of Clipsville" was made to ridicule the fanfic writers.
I agree with McCracken and with you.

The TFP Optimus is supposed to be a flawless and infinitely wise being whose friends look up to him. If you rewatch TFP and remove your nostalgia goggles, you will notice that Optimus in Prime genuinely cares about his friends. It was nice to see a warm and lovable Optimus.

At least he's not the violent and remorseless killer that the Transformers movies have made Optimus famous for.

4. Well, he's bland because he's trying to show that he doesn't have any weaknesses and trying to show more of his calm side. For me, I would've put Energon's Optimus Prime, because that Optimus Prime is an unsmart leader who is very pushy.

10, 8 and 7: They could've been written better, but I like them.
5. I don't really care for Flash, but I really hate Flash X Twilight...    I don't care for Timber either, but like I said; they could've been written better. And, I'm just gonna stick to Twilight X Comet, because, for me, I think it's better to ship Twilight with somepony she doesn't interact with much than to ship her with two, uncalled for Gary-Stus.

4. I like him, but again, could've written better. And, for a little side bar, try the Optimus Prime from Energon. That Optimus is such a pushy douche.

3. I don't really care for Twilight that much, but yeah, they're both Gary-Stus, plus, you should probably look at Fifty Shades of Grey... (I bet you're not gonna be enjoying that either, huh?)

Sasuke lacks any actual success, it was all either artificial, pointless, blindsided, or outright failed. His pursuit of Itachi was planned, Itachi let him win, Bee used him as an excuse to go on vacation, Obito wanted him to off Danzo, Konoha was already destroyed. Sasuke's essentially a product of being manipulated. Sasuke may be the most talented character in his series, and an outright asshole but a Gary Stu is the LAST thing he is.

In the defense of Snow white's prince and Cinderella's prince, it was because the animators could not draw them very well. The animators in Walt's time, were confident in drawing animals (Bambi, Jimoney Cricket) and humans with exaggerated features (Captain Hook, the dwarves). When it comes to characters who are semi-realistic like the hero, the heroine, and sometimes the villain, that was when they struggl

I dont blame ya and you know what, I'm gonna say it: PPG (2016) is worst than TTG. Don't get me wrong, I still really dislike that show but at least it was trying to do something different from the original. Yes, It crashed and burned though but still has it's own identity like being a spin off chibi comedy parody show and tried something new. PPG (2016) however doesn't give a shit about continuity and not even try something different on its own.

oh btw PPG(2016) isn't really a reboot, it's actually a continuation series. From I looked up their interview with Paste Magazine , they want to "expand on it"

Don't forget that Jacob's a pedophile - he "imprints" on Renesmee by marking her to mate with when she grows up.

Jared Shapiro is one of the worst characters I can think of in all of fiction. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who created him was a pedophile. It's like the PPG reboot writers WANT us to hate them. The girls didn't need love interests at all because kindergarten-age children are not supposed to have boyfriends or girlfriends.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the RRB. They were tolerable in their, but in the episode where they come back, they're so disgusting (like the scene where they stick a giant slug into Bubbles, which is one scene that really stressed me out). I don't think I've ever met any boys their age who were even close to being as disgusting as them. Thank God the RRB don't go to Pokey Oaks - all the kids there (and even Ms. Keane) would probably be afraid of them.

Despite Timber Spruce having a little more personality, all I could say it's still unnecessary for either Twilights to have a love-interest with either Flash and Timber. At least with Flash, he and Twilight didn't start a "supposedly" relationship, while EQG Twilight and Timber was rushed and forced. I actually hope the EQG will end with neither Twilight getting into relationship and that they're fine on their own.
