In this anime this symbols doesn't represent the nazi in any way. The creator used this symbols, because in the budism this symbol represents peace, since Ichigo fights for peace the symbol it's there. Hope I could help!!!

i know that but its modern meaning is more widely known
although i think that ichigo fights for himself more than he thinks he does
