rainbow dash was actually going to BE firefly, but then hasbro told laren that they had lost ownership of all the mlp characters she planed to use exept for applejack and spike.
in that case they were redesigned so they were ponies they could actually still use.
this was EXACTLY what she going to look like before rainbow dash came into play.
