I like how you've off-centred it so that the impact is greater, in a sense. The colours contrast well, but I think it's mainly the lighting that smooths everything over... The way it's not that harsh manages to convey a comfortable sort of feeling, almost.
I feel as if you could have gone closer, perhaps, but I can understand if this was your extent. The depth of field is brilliant and the shadows cast add a bit of variety and depth to things too.
