Unsurprisingly I'm taking some Raptors in my Night Lords army.Night Lords and Raptors go together very well background wise and they work even better rules wise now.
Painting wise they're no different to any of the other Night Lords in the army.
The only thing worth mentioning is that the entire squad has been based on the larger 32MM bases. The box comes with the 25MM bases and I'm sorry but they just aren't good enough for these models.
They are very "upper body heavy" due to the jump pack and with how they attach to the bases they are far to easy to knock over on the smaller bases. Also considering the fact all the other Chaos Marines are on the larger bases they'd look weird stood next to them on these.
The larger bases make them more stable and if Assault Marines come on larger bases why not Raptors?!
I might go back and repaint the helmet on the Champions base at some point though, it's kind of lost with the updated base.
