Well, there have been quite a few developments as of late on my side... I have started to learn how to use the more up-to-date rendering engine in Blender, and while it was a bit confusing at first, the end results are simply outstanding. The engine now uses the GPU to do the rendering, and I can have previews of the final render in real time during the editing phase. The lighting looks a lot, lot more realistic, and there is much less of a need for workarounds to get things done. Don't even get me started on the hair. And since it doesn't pull so much on the CPU, I can also stream easier in the future. Only downside, the renders take longer now, but I already ordered a new computer to make things significantly faster. I am truly excited about it and am looking forward to playing more with that in the future.

Also, more attempts at timestopping. I actually have more things in mind for that Aerith model, but I kinda wanted to do a little something before moving on to bigger projects. Hopefully it conveys the idea well.
