/title failThis is what consumed my life for a good week and a half at the beginning of this month. Johnny Yong Bosch was going to be at the convention I attended and when I couldn't decide on a single item to get autographed (other than my copy of Tales of the Abyss of course) ~ I decided to make a poster of all my favourite roles he's played. I probably could have kept going and added a handful more, but I ran out of time.
His reaction was fantastic! It was by far my favourite moment of the con.
The characters are (starting at the bottom left):

WOW good job! you should watch tales of the abyss abridged since guy keeps saying "cuz im johnny yong bosch!" though it wold be funny if they ever switched roles XD

Thanks ^^ lol - I have actually, I liked the first episode a lot! But I didn't find the second one nearly as funny and I haven't checked to see if they continued beyond that.

lol - yes, I think it was one of the last ones Bandai released before quitting the anime business so if you want the DVDs it'd be best to hunt them down now since they'll be really hard to get pretty soon. They're subtitle only though, unfortunately.

I would have liked to see it dubbed but only if they got the original Voice actors back. I'd rather they leave it un-dubbed than have different voices for everyone *nods*

The game had just a good voice cast that it would just be strange to hear them with different voices.

This is awesome. He did a wonderful job as Guy, Raguna, and Emil. As Cless... eh. His voice didn't quite fit him. None of them did really, except for Dhaos. Don't get me wrong though, I love Johnny Yong Bosch, and I think he's an absolutely wonderful voice actor.

Thanks! Sadly I haven't actually had a chance to watch the Tales of Phantasia dub in its entirety so I can't really say how well I find the voices fit. Though I can definitely understand that; no matter how good of a voice actor you are, sometime you get cast as characters you don't really suit. So far I've found most of his roles work pretty well - but I've definitely not seen them all.

Johnny Young Bosch is the reason I watch Code Geass in English only. He forever is Lelouch to me

To me, he'll always be Guy from Tales of the Abyss. I remember before Code Geass' dub was announced - my replica and I were hoping he'd be cast as Suzaku with Yuri Lowenthall as Lelouch, but JYB really did pull Lelouch off fabulously. He does the crazy laugh freakishly well *nods*
I never thought I'd ever get to meet someone as big as him at our con either - so don't lose hope!

I heard him first as Ichigo in Bleach, but I didn't really start paying attention to him until I heard him as Lelouch

I find he has a very distinctive voice so I usually recognize him in roles fairly quickly. His Lelouch voice is definitely one of his stronger roles though.

Next time, make sure you have at least one extra to give them. Usually the actors and actresses that get involved with their fans like the gifts.

He had already signed my copy of Tales of the Abyss so I think he saw Guy first but then he stopped and his eyes went around the poster. His band member leaned in to see and asked "What is that?" to which he replied "All my characters." He looked up at me and asked where I got it. I told him I drew it and he was surprised. He asked me if I had a table up in Artist Alley but I told him I didn't - he said I should cause I could have sold lots of that poster.
I think it was just his surprise and that he seemed impressed that made me so incredibly happy <3

(LOL, and I'm kind of a voice actor fangirl... Like, part of the reason I watched Durarara in the first place was because a lot of the voice actors we from Tales games~ >w>)

XD meeee too - my favourite voice actor is Yuri Lowenthall but I'm also a big JYB fan. Crispman Freeman and Bryce Papenbrook (sp? I can never remember how to spell his name right) are also really high on the list. Code Geass was another really awesome dub for having all my favourites in it.
I have to admit I don't know much about it and the features, but I was like that for the previous 3 and it was kind of a fun surprise. But getting to play as a girl would be awesome ^^

Oh yeah, Code Geass had a lot of good voice actors~ So many of them were also in Tales of the Abyss, but that's TOTALLY a good thing~ The Abyss cast is awesome~

Yes I agree - I think thats why I was so sad to see Bandai stop dubbing thing/shut down. All my favourite VA's were in the Bandai crew (and subsequently in the Tales games).
So far I haven't really cared for most of the Rune Factory Openings, though I vaguely recall the 3rd one not bothering me as much. I definitely didn't like the 1st one and I can't bring the 2nd to mind. Is the 4th much like the previous ones?

Yeah, totally... A lot of the remaining dubbing companies often use VAs I'm not quite as fond of. Not that they're bad or anything, just I don't have any particular attachment to them.... I miss the Tales characters' voices!
Rune Factory 4's opening... Yeah, I guess it's kind of like the 3rd game's. Cutesy, kind of generic. ^_^; I like the song a lot though for some weird reason.
The biggest problem with the other game's opening songs, especially the first, was poor audio quality. That, and the singers obviously didn't know English well at all. (Though the Wii games used the original Japanese songs... It tends to be better that way, though) Hopefully since the 3DS is more powerful than the DS, the audio quality won't be an issue.

Well its not that that group has stopped working - just they tend not to be all in the same projects like they used to be. Though hopefully we can still look forward to seeing them all together in bandai's games

I ran out of time sadly or I would have included the main character from Persona 4 as well. I've never really watched the Bleach dub so I left Ichigo out, and I only just recently started watching Trigun.

I'm actually just playing the game right now. So far I still like Persona 3 better, but I'm enjoying it. I'm holding out to watch the anime for once I've finished the game. I can't wait for the Persona 3 movie

I think it might be because I'm still relatively early in the game, I'm not as attached to teh characters in P4 - then again I really liked teh main character in P3 for some reason, more so than P4.
I just didn't want to have the anime spoil the game for me. I'm also holding out on playing P4 Arena for until I finish P4.
