Description ~Chapter 1~

Dax was out sitting in the garden. She seemed to be bothered by something. As Inferno came by, he noticed this, "Hey Dax, are you okay?"

"I don't know," Dax sighed, "Have you ever felt alone?"

"Well, there was this one time when I was four when I fell into a deep hole and couldn't climb out," Inferno said, "I was down there for two days before anyone found me. When they got me out, I had to be taken to the infirmary. But while I was stuck in that hole, I was all alone."

"But it's not the same," Dax said as she shook her head, "You felt like you were alone because you were alone. I feel like the more people are around me, the lonelier I feel."

"I don't get it," Inferno said, cocking his head in curiosity, "Why would you feel alone if you're surrounded by everyone?"

"I don't know," Dax sighed again.

"Well...maybe you don't have to be alone," Inferno said as he started to lean in. Inferno was starting to hit on her. It wasn't that Inferno was bad, it's just that all males wanted Dax. The way she kept herself clean would attract any male. That and mating season was nearing. So young dragons were beginning to succumb to their instinctual desires.

"Inferno, stop!" Dax said as she backed away, "I'm not like that!"

"Yeah!" Eclipse said, appearing to defend Dax. But his intent was not as it seemed, "If anyone get's Dax, it's me!"

"Over my dead body!" Inferno growled.

"That can be arranged," Eclipse said. Then he attacked. Inferno and Eclipse began biting and scratching each other, fighting to see who would get Dax. Of course, neither of them would.

As the two males fought for Dax, she just walked away. She walked to the river and sat down and sadly sighed.

The young blue dragon was out hunting. Food was scarce that season. So chances are that his hunt would be a failure. Considering that it has been several hours, the chances of a failed hunt is rising.

It has been nearly a week since he last ate. His hunger was making his hunt clumsy. There were few prey as it is. But his clumsy actions were scaring away anything he could find. And if they didn't, his growling stomach did.

The blue dragon was growing weaker and exhausted. Finally, the exhaustion caught up with the young dragon and he collapsed on the ground. However, he happened to be on a hill and he began to roll down it. As he rolled down the hill, he received several cuts, bumps, and other injuries. He ended up rolling right into the river.

Spyro and Cynder were outside when they heard a ruckus, "Hey Spyro, do you hear that?" Cynder asked Spyro as she perked up her head.

"It sounds kinda like a couple of animals fighting over a piece of meat," Spyro replied as he listened in as well.

"No..." Cynder said, "It sounds more like two dragons fighting...Wait! Mating season!"

Spyro and Cynder then ran to where they heard the fighting. They found Eclipse and their own son, Inferno fighting. They have been fighting for a good half an hour. Spyro grabbed Eclipse while Cynder grabbed Inferno. Both of them were a mess.

"What do you two think you're doing?" Spyro roared.

"I...uh..." Eclipse said, legitimately confused.

"What were you two fighting about?" Cynder asked. She was a little calmer than Spyro, but she was still stern.

"I...uh...don't remember," Inferno said, just as confused as Eclipse, "I think Dax was involved somehow."

"Were we just fighting over Dax?" Eclipse asked.

"Just as we thought," Cynder said, "You're instincts got the best of you. Come on you two. We need to take you to the infirmary." Spyro and Cynder lead Inferno and Eclipse to the infirmary.

Dax was walking down the river. It was all she could think to do to help ease her mind. It bothered her that the males were always trying to be with her. But there was something even more troubling about how Inferno and Eclipse suddenly attacked each other.

As she walked along the river bank, she noticed a figure floating in the water. Dax went in for a closer look and saw that it was a dragon...and he was hurt, "Oh my!" Dax said in shock, "Don't worry! You're going to be okay!"

Dax lifted the dragon onto her back and ran as quickly as she could back to the temple.
