Worst Scout ever. Of all time. Wait, do the Daleks even need scouts? Think about it. Maybe in the older days, but I shouldn't think so now.

Dalek: NON-SENCE! THE DA-LEKS ALWAYS NEED A SCOUT TO AID IN AN IN-FERIOR LIFE-FORMS EXTERMINATION!

besides the scouts are the only ones that can build T-Mats...and repair other daleks...and always fly.

Since its weapon is designed for long range annihilation, it is sorta like a sniper as well? Awesome job, I've seen Dalek redesigns and concepts, but yours are no doubt the best!

Yes this is the Dalek equivalent of a sniper.

Glad you like my designs. Much appreciated.

The only problem is that it's so much more functional than normal Daleks.
I can imagine the big panels moving on those pistons and adjusting it's speed and direction. I can picture it moving just looking at it.
It's neat.

Sure I've seen this design before: has it ever been rendered in CG by someone?

*faves*

DarkAngelDTB In reply to Optronyx [2010-04-19 12:00:07 +0000 UTC]

Not sure. I aim to make it in 3D at some point. The design has been inspired by several pieces but its not taken from just one design.

Great design. It looks light and zippy but still incredibly mean. I'd love to see this fully rendered and terrifying kids in a Dr Who episode some day.

I wholeheartedly agree. I would be awesome to see this in an episode.

Wow! That's awesome! Can't wait to see more new Dalek variants!

Oh! I had an idea for a couple that were mentioned in books...Spider Daleks and Marine Daleks. Is there any chance you could work your magic on those? I know I'd love to see them!

Keep up the great work!

DarkAngelDTB In reply to Alan-WK [2009-10-14 08:14:48 +0000 UTC]

Oh I like the sound of a Marine Dalek.

There have been several variations of the Spider Dalek already done but it is an interesting point. Though how i see it is why would a race that has the technology to create antigracity hovering and flying Daleks create a cumbersome eight legged walking Dalek.

Anyway. Love the Idea of a Marine Dalek. Might have to play around with that Idea

Shiny-Fan In reply to DarkAngelDTB [2010-03-17 18:43:26 +0000 UTC]

Anti gravity technology seems to be only widely available to later model Daleks. Earlier ones seemed to have much less effective lift systems, if any at all.
So a spider type design could represent a high mobility variant, before anti gravity was more widespread.

At any rate, this is a fascinating design!
