I always happen to get pen or pencil marks all over my hands. Half the time I'll even end up smearing it all over my drawing-- which, isn't always fun..

I always usually end up with something on me when I'm doing traditional art. Usually it's smudges from my pencil from blending or putting my hand on the picture. Then if I'm panting I'll get paint on my hands.

Agreed.
|D I wind up with pencil and pen (and sometimes Sharpie) smudges on me when I draw, and it's the only kind of mess I actually enjoy.
Then when I've painted, which I rarely do, the mess is even more fun than it is with pencils.

Couldn't agree more if I tried. My art wouldn't be the experience it is if I didn't have to lay colour pencils and pens all over the place and splash watercolours all over the place...

Ha ha! That's true! My hands are covered in pencil lead whenever I'm shading or covered in ink when I'm coloring with pens. But sometimes an artist has to get dirty! I even shaded some areas with my thumbs!
