You are welcome, and I do understand about how some drawings can
be a challenge...my latest portrait, "Anne" was indeed the most
challenging one ever lol

yes, I know what you mean to challenge ourselves. When I look at a picture and I , "I can do this" and not be rushed about the details and shading, then I enjoy
the process of drawing, however, the outcome can be trying at times
due to the scanner issue, xD So I think I'll get more dark leaded
pencils to do the job better lol

well there is the option of going into the preview setting of the image then click fix and alter the contrast and brightness till it looks like the image cuz my scanner is rubbish to it may help you

Yes, I do know about editing after I scan a work~~
My PC has a program which I can lighten or darken and
image and do all kinds of stuff...but after I that I could do,
sometimes the image won't turn out just right on the screen,
therefore, I have to do more pencil work...
I usually preview my work before I scan it also, but it's
so little to view. So the editing would enlarge the image
as I alter the brightness and so forth. I had to learn the tricks
of the trade after months of trial and error lol

the way i do it is right click on the file and click preview then click fix and then click contrast and brightness and alter it to how it shud be it also gives u a big preview to look at and also easier to alter the image to how it shud be it the best way ive come across doing it so far i used to use photoshop but this way works betta for me
