Assignment last week; create a space scene without using photo manipulation. Meaning, this picture was mostly done with effects on photoshop xDI decided I wanted my outer space to be purple, it seems more fun that way. Lookit my purple stars
but the comet had to be blue, cause it didn't look right otherwise.

Was this done with built-in templates, like brushes and stuff, or by scratch...?

it was done by scratch; I used standard photoshop brushes(nothing I downloaded), a couple textures(nothing I downloaded) and effects and stuff
