Thanks , Well it's kinda used it was just a personal costume for working in a few haunted houses probably wouldn't part with the original plus I made it to fit me so that could be another issue any one looking for a good costume needs something custom fit and not used .

Possibly, this armor looks like the armor of some character of some movie, some television series or some videogame (or not). I have a proposed character with the red armor (and the sword) in that I have proposed armor designs and one proposed armor design looks like to your armor but the helmet and/or mask is different (and possibly, boots instead of shoes with fingers) (and the proposed sword looks like to your sword or is different to your sword but is (more or less) of the same size or same lenght or more longer or more shorter and/or same width or more wider or more narrow).

I'm not sure I follow what your saying but the armor was inspired by a few things like Spawn and Beserk and the breastplate of Raphiel from SC3 with alot of mods but it's really based off any other characters.

The material you used for the armor...what is it? It's got beautiful worksmanship, do you these all by yourself or do you send plaster casts to be turned into plastic molds?

This armor is Black ABS it's a high impact polymer blend plastic commonly used for out door pipes and Vending machine cases long lasting weather resistant material, most of the parts I vacuum form the main shapes and go back and trim and reheat and shape other parts and layer other shells sand and polish edges.
Not so much different then metal work other then it's about 10 times lighter and wont crack or dent up under stress and use.

Mind blowing. Looks like he just stepped out of the gates of hell! Did you make the sword also?

yeah the sword is quarter inch lexan a high heat and impact resistant plastic they use for bullet proof glass it's atually stronger then a steel sword and half the weight.

Wow. I need to make a non leathal weapon for my project. Something truly evil like this. Not sure if I'll make it out of leather or make a larping type sword. Anyway, amazing as always.

only problem with lexan is it's damn expensive stuff but in very strong material pound for poun it's way stronger then steel but you can welded it to ABS and styrene plastics so it's great for reinforcement in plastic armor but it's rarely used for anything other then unbreakable windows and the popes bubble car.
Works great for replica weapons you'd like to be very tough.

Isn't lexan transparent and usually tented. Almost looks flourescent around the edges?

DarkAsylumxxx In reply to Red-Dragon-Lord [2010-05-23 04:20:29 +0000 UTC]
lexan is clear and you can get it tented in blackish blue the flourescent materials are probably acrylic you can get that in a lot of tents and colors it's a more common materials easier the cut and clean with laser etching tools.

OK, I was confused. Yeah, I've seen the thick bullet proof glass in convenient stores. Thats probably Lexan. Its very transparent as thick as it is.

it scratchs very easy which I found odd cause it stops high impacts but shows low impasct light scratches you can scuff it with a T-shirt material.
other then that it's nice an translucent material

I think I used soul calibur and the knight of skeleton for most of the armor design based on movability and the details and over all look was taken from raven spawn and raven hell spawn the mask just something I thought of and did before the armor.
but I can see the color looks like iron man,s red tone .
