I was bored so while looking through the interwebs, I saw that the first set of DVDs for the anime version of "Romeo x Juliet" were going to be sold starting June 23, 2009!I wish I had the money to buy it, but I'll wait until I get my first paycheck.
This is kind of, not really spoilerish. This is a take on their fate after the ending of the series and since the story takes place in (Neo) Verona, Italy, I wanted to give them the feeling of being in the Roman times. Although, to be honest, the image just popped in my head after listening to the soundtrack like a million times.
Romeo and Juliet belong to GONZO and William Shakespeare.
Fan art belongs to Adriana McGrew.
Materials used: watercolor paper, watercolors, copic markers, SAKURA micron pens and pencil.
P.S. The musical score was composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, same composer for Final Fantasy XII. Here's a sampling of the music [link]

by the way go buy the CD, i just did and its was worth the money, listening to them speaking in old english was great, but some parts i didnt understand a word they said so i replayed it millions of times....

I've read all of Shakespeare's works at least once, all in old English, so I'm used to it by now.

I liked the anime, granted some of the animation wasn't that well done in some episodes, but I liked the story and it showed how their relationship progressed, instead of being a quickie relationship.
I've rarely worked with such colors before (like purple for the shadows) and I wanted to challenge myself by getting out of my comfort zone. The original looks a lot better and I hope to take a better photograph of it later.

jajaja exactamente, por lo menos en la historia original, pero al menos en el anime si se justifica su sacrificio y ademas pasa bastante tiempo para que ellos se conozcan realmente.
