Description *APH= Axis Powers Hetalia*

Last week I had these huge exam-like-test about, well guess about what... THE COLD WAR hehe, and I was so bored and I wasn't understanding it very much when I decided to refer to the countries with their Hetalia names, did little comics representing what happened with the Hetalia representations of the countries and WITH THIS DRAWING HERE. Yeah, it was a doodle but decided to color it in the end.

I DON'T KNOW IF THEY MAKE FUN OF THE "HOTLINE/RED TELEPHONE" IN HETALIA BUT THE "HOTLINE/RED TELEPHONE" BETWEEN AMERICA AND RUSSIA DID EXIST.

So.. have some America and Russia
Sorry people, but I couldn't stop myself, I HAD to draw Russia with his cute smiling face and his EVIL aura of DOOM. Hahaha Russia/Ivan, I love you
I was going to add Russia's vodka and America's alien friend Tony somewhere BUT I got lazy C:

PLEASE IGNORE RUSSIA'S HAND. THANK YOU.

Stop calling! Stop calling! I don't wanna think anymore!
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor!
Stop calling! Stop calling! I don't wanna talk anymore!
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor!
Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh
Stop telephoning me!
Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh
I'm busy!

Art (c)
America, Russia (c) Their own? ...
America's and Russia's human representations (Alfred & Ivan) (c) The guy who created Hetalia who I have no clue what his name is.

I love the picture, and it was interesting to read the description! That´ll be my new ´make people feel stupid thing´...

What color was the phone that connected Washington D.C. to Moscow during the Cold War and what was it called?!
It makes me feel stupid just making up the question!

I read it all...

I credit Hetalia for my A in history last year, so I totally agree that it helps you study XD

And that is totally the exact same image I had in my head when we learnt about the hotline XD

DarkChocolateCandy In reply to beggarscantbchoosers [2010-12-01 17:36:24 +0000 UTC]

Exactly!
Plus it makes the task of actually doing the exam less stressing and horrible
At least for me
I've got 4 different history class at school, so Hetalia it's my savior

I laughed hard when I learnt about the hotline hehehe!

Completely The best part is when the teacher says something, you put the countries to it, and can't help but laugh~ Like, my history teacher went: 'Germany had us [Britain] by the short and curlies!' Me and my friend just looked at eachother and cracked up~

4 History classes?!? Are you mad?!? I adore History, but even I think four is a bit much! XD

Did you do about 'when the cold war almost went hot' and the proxy wars? They were fun <3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkChocolateCandy In reply to beggarscantbchoosers [2010-12-01 18:50:44 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha exactly!
My teacher always treated the countries as if they were people, even before Hetalia
I cracked up when she started explaining the "Anchluss" to us, telling us to imagine as if Germany and Austria had gotten married, and I died laughing also to see it as if "Mother Russia" wanted to take over the world in the Cold War, and when we studied the American Revolution she said to imagine as if America was a rebellious teenager wanting to run away from home thanks to the fact Britain was too controlling and over-protective Cx

Yep, 4 history classes! Nope, I actually like history a lot
Universal History class, Modern History class, Ancient History class and Chilean History class (I'm chilean btw )

I studied the whole cold war D: even it's effects on Latin America and specially my country Chile... so as amusing as it was, I'm really fed up of it

*flails* Your teacher sounds amazing <3

I was actually very amused today, as we were watching a video in History, and the narrator said: 'Russia warned Britain and France that it was determined to crush all agression.', 'France felt betrayed by Britain.', and 'Canada's regret over actions in Egypt~' Just thought I'd share that with you <3

Wow. I have two, if you can count it like that - British Politics 1945-1990 and Russia 1881-1924, but they count as one subject... I'd love to study Ancient History, but there's no course for it

Wow, its effects were that far-reaching? We never learnt about that, only about its effects on us and Asia... The British are so self centred XD

DarkChocolateCandy In reply to beggarscantbchoosers [2010-12-02 19:07:02 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha I love that!
I suppose you imagined them doing that while watching the video right? Hetalia has eaten my brain, I can't think of the countries as just pieces of land anymore :C

Yep, they were. Chile actually turned comunist thanks to Russia's influence, being turnet into a Soviet's Union satellite in South America. Which was a rather low kick for America as Chile's always been it's ally. In 1973 America helped Chile into going back to capitalism though ... hehehe sorry for that, I'm a history nerd :C

beggarscantbchoosers In reply to DarkChocolateCandy [2010-12-04 16:03:12 +0000 UTC]

Me neither. XD But it's okay, they're cute pieces of land~ <3 That made sense in my head >.>

Wow XD Learn something new every day. And it's fine, so'm I, though I don't know much about South America. Europe, though, Europe I can do~ XD

I keep forgetting about the Red Line. Probably one of my favorite Cold War tidbits. |D
I'm totally going to use their names in my notes! That would make my classes so much more interesting.

"...It's three in the morning."
"Not in Russia~."

Oh Hetalia, I wish you were there when I was in school. I already love History but with personification behind it would have made a LOT of my studying easier.

Also totally read all of your comments~, how niiiice. I would laugh really hard if I saw those kind of notes, hahaha.

ALSO: Adorable art, just adorable.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkChocolateCandy In reply to Jhessail [2010-08-08 21:17:39 +0000 UTC]

Exactly! I've always been a history nerd, to the point I have three different history classes at school, one about old/medieval history, other about 20th century history and one about my country's (Chile's) history.
And I love all of them, always had! But now with personifications, my already favorite classes are just AMUSING. Damn, Hetalia you changed my life, hahaha

And eeeeh, you get a super huge hug for reading my incredibly long author's comment!

And yeah... they are amusing hahaha I love to read them every once in a while and laugh at my own fangirl-ish stupidity!

Thaaaanks a lot!

AlexMcCat [2010-08-05 03:57:28 +0000 UTC]

The person who created Hetalia is named Himaruya. I nicknamed him Hima/Himay, haha! He has a blog where he updates artwork for his personal series and Hetalia; [link]

Check it out! It's likely he might create a South America country in the near future. He already designed three to four new characters in the last few months.

When I saw this in my inbox, I had a huuuge happyface going on, haha! I love the expression! I can feel a sinster feel in Russia's expression though... D: Cut your telephone cord before Russia tracks your location down, America!

Typical America and your McDonald soda! XD

Haha, wonderful picture! You're always so good at cartoony expressions!

DarkChocolateCandy In reply to AlexMcCat [2010-08-08 21:32:50 +0000 UTC]

Oh, thanks for the information!
And heeey! That's an interesting link, I'll check it out immediately

Oh, if he were to create a South American country I guess it'll be either Brazil or Argentina, pretty much because they're more known internationally thanks to the World Cup and what not.
Though I would honestly have a heart attack if for some reason my lovely and squishy country Chile were to be personified D:
Though I bet the first one will be México anyway.

And aww, yeah I love Russia and his "innocent" smile, though you know he's thinking evil things and emanating an evil aura of doom at the same time hahaha yeah America, if you want to live it would be wise to do just that D:

I was going to draw him with a hamburger at first BUT the lyrics in the song say:
"Just a second it's my favorite song they're gonna play
and I can't text you with a drink in my hand, eh"

And aww, thanks a lot!
I was kind of nervous to submit this though, I mean it's the first time I do fanart of an anime or anime character D: and well, I thought that maybe my retarded style could've ruined them or something...
