It's been awhile since I made an Inuyasha OC. ^^ I was reading a chapter from my friend, /Fang's latest modern Inuyasha story, "Only You" when I was inspired to make an OC by the fact that Kagome is know as "Kamakiri Kagome"...the Praying Mantis.

I was kinda surprised cause after looking at the Inuyasha wiki, there's not many Mantis demons in the series at all! There are only a handful at most, and only one is named! So, I figured I'd add to the numbers by making my own mantis demon! And that's who this pretty lady is! What you see is her human form.

Bio: Ishi is a Mantis demon, who lives within a forest in the western lands of Edo Japan, where she eventually encounters Inuyasha and friends. She doesn't generally care for human men except for a few, viewing them only as meals, but she shows great interest in human females, viewing them as beautiful and graceful. When she was young, she had befriended a human girl, who originally feared her but soon came to see her as a friend. However, some years later, the girl's village was ravaged by a band of bandits and she suffered a horrible fate before dying.

Ishi, who had been looking for a gift for her human companion, was unaware of what had happened until she returned to their usual meeting spot and spotted the destroyed village. Heartbroken and enraged, the grieving Ishi ate the organs of her deceased friend and wore her skin, hunting down the bandits and eating them to avenge her friend. Now, she guards the forest, protecting a small village of survivors of bandit attacks, wearing the skin of her beloved friend as a way of atoning for not saving her.
