When I saw Bomberman in the trailer for the new Super Smash Bros. game, I immediately wanted him to be playable. But he is only an assist trophy...

I think that what happened to Bomberman is similar to what happened to Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and characters from ARMS.

It's Sad that Bomberman is an Assist Trophy, I'm also Sad that Waluigi is an Assist Trophy again as well because Everyone thought he would Definitely be Playable, when I saw the Smash Bros Reveal I was so Hyped that all Playable Characters in Smash were all Together. Hopefully they can be Playable in the Next Smash or Maybe Possible DLC

For now, he's gonna stay an assist trophy. If Nintendo does make another installment after Ultimate, Bomberman will go from assist trophy to full-fledged fighter, like how Little Mac did.
