Description I did this as a commission for someone who went to BotCon to autograph from the guy (sorry I don't know his name beyond hearing that he is to show up) who originally designed Sunstreaker.

I didn't want to do a simple pose of him just standing there but some action.

Nice picture, and a nice one to get autographed too; there's plenty of room for the name, and it won't cover any of the art!

Thanks. Think I should consider something like this for next year's Botcon for people for autographs and mass release it?

Or see if any one you know is interested in a specific character, or do commissions

This one started as a commission.

The designer's name is Bob Budiansky. He did Sideswipe as well as Sunstreaker. BotCon security was a rather tough stickler about autographs this year and kicked a lot of people out of line and other political bullshit. 8|;

This would have been an awesome picture to hand out and have him sign though. Nice dramatic pose~

I've heard about the lines at BotCon being terrible now days. Why were people kicked out of line? Other "political bs"? What happened?

Yes~ I'm pretty sure quite a few people would love being able to have something like this if they can't draw to have signed. (And even some that already can draw wouldn't mind having it.)

BotCon 2010 was my first actual convention but hearing from other con goers it was pretty failsauce this year. You either had to buy a $200+ package in order to get into the autograph lines or get a $25 paper arm band in order to be in line for signatures. The worst part was the Peter Cullen autograph signing. He was supposed to do autographs between 8-11 but the line was cut off at 200 autographs...Which was only 15 minutes into the time frame. 8|

And security kept kicking people out of lines. I know me and one of my friends were in line for Bob (we actually started the damn thing) and security kicked us out twice. It was not pleasant.

I've been to quite a few cons even small ones. I went to BotCon before Master Collector took it over so I have no idea how well MC puts on the show. I've heard from some that it is well-organized. But sounds like it is a huge affair to put on. I warned a friend of mine that the dealer room is "evil" due to how many toys there are for sale in there. She told me when she got back that she didn't think it looked that "evil" and another told me she thought the dealer room seemed some how less this year.

Uh? $200 + package? I thought if you bought one of the package deals like Primus Package you automatically get in line for autographs? If that was the case it should have been to the first 200 people or first 200 to want said autograph of person. Not a roll of who gets in line first.

What did you do that security kept pulling you out of line? Or is that too personal to ask? But to stop at the 200 mark thing. . . MC should know by now that fans want autographs.

There are a few small TF cons. There is ones in Canada, Wisconsin, Indiana and Washington to name locations. I don't know where you are that which one you could attend.

Well I've not had any real past experience to tell you what the dealer room should look like so...

And technically if you bought the Primus Package you were automatically in line but even then it was a ridiculous set up. Especially when the schedule is set by time not by how many autographs X person is giving out.

And security was just a skank whore. I was doing absolutely nothing to be pulled out of line other than the Convention had horribly misinformed information and didn't say a word about what you had to do to get autographs. I wasn't informed of any of the rules until I got to the actual Con which was really stupid.

I heard from someone else the the dealer room wasn't up to the usual par. That is on hearsy.

What is the info you didn't get? I wonder if you and others could write in and say something on this? I have no idea how autographs are set up.

Really the whole bloody Convention didn't have much information period. I highly doubt that anything would be done about it for next con either. :\

I hope this doesn't sour you on cons. There are a lot of them out there that are pretty good.

Oh no, I fully intend on going back to BotCon in 2011 and then hopefully some other local conventions around where I live. This Con was a bit of a bummer but I still had fun and that's all that really counts for me.

I figured since you were bummed that you wouldn't be back. This is probably the one BotCon that I've heard the "worse" about. I hope next year will be a lot better for you. What cons are around you? Those are the cons I enjoy going to personally.

Nah, I'll be back and hopefully setting up a table with a few of my friends at next BotCon. Fandimonium is the closest one to me. One of my friends got a free table and I plan on going over with her to see what it will be like and if we want to go again next year to sell stuff.

I've heard of Fandimonium thru someone else around here who goes to it as well. I wish I knew more on it but anytime you can kick back and enjoy being a geek for a weekend is always a good thing in my point of view.

I admit, this is a good pose for him, it suits him and had I know the designer was there, I might have asked for this one myself as a print to sign.

If I thought about it I may have made this into a print of some sort for a lot of people.
